When you're at 13/35 at 16, you're not really racing anyone until you get to this pro level lol. He can basically sleepwalk local comps.

Training, not racing, makes you faster.
He is racing far less than the typical US 16y/o HS Junior
Racing is also training.

Age.
Haven't we learned our lesson with Lukas V and Cheserek regarding claimed v actual age.
Not buying this.
Sad.
I believe Jakob's age is correct, the same for Lukas V and Cheserek.

WOW maybe some US HS, College and Pros can learn something from this kid - that you can race more than 2 times and season and keep on improving and that you don't need weeks off between races.
Man most Americans are such babies when it comes to racing
Yes maybe 25-35 year old pros can learn from this 16 year old kid who will eventually burn out by 22

Yes, pretty likely that will not run that next year (or ever). Pretty easy to be right here.
Rupp ran 12:58 in 2012, but his 26:44 in 2016 is equivalent to a 12:45. He just never got a chance to jump in a fast 5000.
OK...I admit I am highly intelligent. However, even a mediocre mind such as you undoubtedly possess has no excuse for such ignorance. Rupp could not even hang onto 12:55 pace. There were plenty of 5000m races where Galen ran 13:0x and the winner was under 13. Galen could not hang at 12:55 pace. This is a fact. Galen dipped under 13 ONCE despite many attempts. This is REALITY.
has raised the bar for all junior in western world! Smart, hard training can lead to incredible results!
Hahaha nobody can age cheat in small, byracrecy like Norway. Could find pic of him from his birth but dont bother. Better let you live in denial.
Barega 17 12:55 yawn.
Wouldn't it be funny if young Ingebrigtsen turned out to be an 800m runner when he is older.
age cheat in norway? how ridiculous.
now that there is finally a european talent to challenge the african dominance the people have nothing better to do than posting nonsense and slander.
this.
LOL. Devastatingly trolled gullible morans.

You mean all "youths" in western world.
Jakob only owns one European junior record (the steeple), which was the weakest European junior record.
Steve Binns has the European junior record at 5000m (13:27), Graham Williamson the mile (3:53.1), Estevez the 1500m (3:35.5)...
I think that he has a shot at some/all these junior European records, but he hasn't done it yet.

He's 16 with 3 years left as a junior, not sure you really have a point. For a 16 year old his times are ridiculous
AlSal needs to sign him up. He will fix his flaws!
BTW: Moen, who came 2nd in that race (4 sec behind Jakob) ran a 13:20 earlier this year. Maybe Jakob is in 13:20 shape after all...

That is exactly my point, he has raised the bar for Youths, but has not done so for Juniors yet. He very well will in the next 2 years, but not yet.

Age cheat. Most American 16-year-olds are in the beginning or middle of their age range. Apples and oranges. If he were in the American HS system, he would be as old as many juniors and even some seniors, so you can't compare his accomplishments at the age of 16 to other 16-year olds. Plus I heard that "Grandpa" Jakob was actually 8 and winning primary school races in Kenya when he was "born" in Norway, so he's at least 24 now and past his prime. He's actually the oldest brother, but there's lax birth certificate enforcement in Scandinavia.
Sounds like a few months difference

They probably could. Make hay while the sun shines instead of thinking you have all the time in the world and will be a "late bloomer".

Has he produced a birth certificate? It is easy to hide away in the fjords of Norway and elude the testers when they come looking. It is only a matter of time before this sham is exposed.
