The real enemy is not the government, but business owners. CEOs. They are the ones who want more profits.
Exactly. They have it made. Nobody blames them for anything. Since it's their business they are entitled to greed and corruption and you name it.
The SAM Simplistic Angry Males who voted for Trump are the ones who happily look away from corporate manipulation and theft. After all, they aspire to be the greedy thieves some day, or aspire for their kids to fill that role.
When I lived in Las Vegas for 25 years I can't count how many stories I heard of corporate cheating and theft. The conventions of all types are held in Las Vegas. Those owners love to frequent sportsbooks and get drunk. They don't mind bragging to the stranger in the adjacent seat.
One guy told me he owned a company that built top of the line amusement part rides. To finance his annual trip to Las Vegas and all the sports betting expenditure he would make an intentional error and write it off under insurance fraud. The example he used was that if it was a ride with left turns throughout he would claim he mistakenly order special parts for a ride with nothing but right hand turns. It was bogus but he said it netted $250,000 in phony insurance payoffs.
Another business owner from a rural state told me he would take half his machinery and hide it at a friend's lot about an hour away across the border in a neighboring state. He did this every year to fool the inspectors. He had a source who was tipping him on investigations that were supposed to be secret. This guy laughed like hell at how easy it was every year, and worth tens of thousands in avoided taxes.
So obviously there's fault on both sides in that example. The owners are crooks but the investigative company is inept and has a leaker somewhere. I don't doubt that leaker is paid off by the crooks.
I could tell dozens of stories about how crooked the Horsehoe casino was when I worked there. Jack Binion would get drunk at night and wander into the sportsbook office bragging about how he fleeced yet another group of tourists after telling them one thing to get them to the property, and then doing exactly the opposite once they were there. His favorite targets were Asians and specifically Chinese because they were such degenerate gamblers, especially on the table games. He said he could screw them and they would know it but still thank him on departure. Then rinse and repeat.
