Excuse from Mimi's team wrote:
Regarding the tracker there is this on the Ultrarunning Community:

It wasn't off. Mimi's web dev via Mimi was instructed to apply a specific statement on her website that without 2g or 3g it won't transmit location until it gets back to signal. Someone forgot I guess, and the team will get some grief for that oversight. I wasnt very sympathetic with them.

I don't know who Richard is but I will point out this excuse does not work. The other two vehicles were transmitting just fine during the time that Mimi's tracker was turned off. Therefore it is not a matter of insufficient wireless signal. It also wasn't a battery issue, since it read 85% charged at the time it was turned off.
Richard Weremiuk owns the tracker company.
So why did this experienced runner take a tracker that they claim could never have worked for the entire trip?
They are either deliberately scamming or incredibly thick.
Is the support car and RV using a tracker from Race Drone too, or another system?
This attempt is over.
