Scam can you move this issue over to the Mimi's data thread. The question is about the quality of her data. Mimi has dropped out of her transcon attempt. Sandy is finishing up in the next week.

I only we could block certain posters, then he would be history.
So you chaps have never looked at race splits during a race? Like lap splits in a 10k, or mile splits in a marathon.
Sandy is running Pete's route which is longer than Google Maps for minimum walking distance.
Sandy is running slightly longer in Strava, meaning she has more miles to go than you'd think. Part of the reason is how her Strava tracking. Look closely at her run maps and there are slight deviations. Every side stop for a photo and stop for food is included in her mileage. That is one explanation why Sandy miles are running longer than expected.

Feel free to add N miles to any of the right hand numbers. We know Sandy can do 80-ish on the last day. The rest is to see if she can keep up the 56-ish the next 3 days.

From now on I will simply post the miles to go that Pete provided as his PA+NJ/NY route (416.8 miles), and her LAT/LON for stopping point, and how many miles she has run per Strava since entering PA.
I plotted Pete's route through those states using plotaroute and that route came up 3.1 miles short. That works out to a 1.076 multiplier to account for minor adjustments taken, such as crossing a street or taking a pit stop. Separately I will provide my own miles to go estimate based on that plotted route.
The only reason for any of this is to help people who might want to join Sandy along the way to have an idea "when" to find her.
I have no doubts that Sandy can put in a Pete-type final day. They just need to decide when they want to start on Saturday. Maybe Zwitty (Dave) will let us know sometime late Friday what that plan is.
Elapsed time in hr:mim for Sandy's first 25 miles run in the last three days.
Day 49 - 6:35 (very cold windy day)
Day 50 - 5:55
Day 51 - 5:55
The Guinness transcon WR is based on running at least 2800 miles. Sandy completed 2800 miles on Day 50 in an elapsed time of 49 days and ~11 hours.

Has Sandra had any days below 26 miles as some woman from UK is claiming 63 in 63 world record ?

There is no 63 in 63 world record.

In the first 51 days of her run Sandy has 7 days when she did not run more than a marathon but not a double, and one day when she ran less than a marathon. So, 51x2 - 7 - 2 = 93 marathons in 51 days.

That should have read: 7 days when she did run more than a marathon but not a double

This is an interesting note.
Say someone runs the southern route and does 53 miles per day for 53 days. They would be slower than Sandy (on average) but finish LA/NY in 53 days while it will take Sandy to day 54 (Saturday). So the new person would get the record for "fastest crossing" when they weren't faster.
It would have been different had the record been set before Sandy (e.g., if Mimi had reached her 53 day goal) but now anyone coming after will be chasing an administrative record and not a superior athletic feat...

Hopefully the NYC Marathon and the Muslim terrorist attacks (are you reading Jihad Gary?) won't cause too many issues.
You got this Sandy!

Yes, and that may be the plan that next year's trancon lady, Pam Reed, will go for. She is starting in Los Angeles and heading to NYC. She could tweak her course to make sure she runs just over 2800 miles. Personally, I think the Guinness 2800 mile record can turn the transcon into more of a counting minimum miles game. Why not plan a 2750 mile course, enter Central Park and run laps until you guaranteed you would only run 2800 miles and no further? Silliness.
