Some kind of summary: OCT 10th End of Day
Mimi: 34 days
Total distance 2838 miles (original estimate). Likely closer to 2900 miles.
Distance as this night 1988 miles (according to Movescount & Strava)
Remaining 850 miles. Likely closer to 900.
Sandy: 30 days
Total distance 3067 miles (original estimate)
Distance as of this night 1713 miles (according to Strava)
Remaining 1354 miles

I don't think that's quite right. One of Sandy's runs (I think it was her first one) was logged twice in Strava. She must have worn two watches and uploaded both results. You'll need to subtract that from her Strava total to get the correct run-to-date mileage.
I wonder what these women eat? They must be putting down something like 10000 calories of food daily.

I think your right. I have not been keeping totals myself. I used a value someone posted several days ago and added the missing days.
Google Maps shows ~1400 miles for Sandy to go, and 980 miles for Mimi to go. I'll revise the Summary and remove the estimated distances because of Mimi it is way off. Her Google Map route does not follow actual roads. Her assumed distance is not reliable.
Some kind of summary: OCT 10th End of Day
ALTERNATIVE TOTAL DISTANCE VERSION
- Based on Google Maps approximate routes to NYC and crossing GW Bridge
Mimi: 34 days
Distance as this night 1988 miles (according to Movescount & Strava)
Remaining ~980 miles per Google Maps.
Sandy: 30 days
Distance as of this night 1713 miles (according to Strava)
Remaining ~1400 miles
The miles run is a best estimate based on information other posters have provided plus the results of the most recent days. If the numbers are off please make adjustments.
NOTE TO MARKUS OR OTHERS: If you have a better number for miles actually run through the end of Oct 10th please provide them and I will adjust the values. Sandy's miles seems to have a double count day.

For them I would guess 80 calories a mile, so 50-60 miles would be 4,000 - 4,800 calories for just the distance (not counting bmr). I think 10,000 would be way too much.

It's what marvelous people do.

I copied the data from Strava.
Mimi has 1934.8 miles
Sandy has 1652.0 miles
according to that, if I made no mistakes while copying it.
Your numbers are quite different.

Thank you, Markus. I will post another update for today.
Some kind of summary: OCT 10th End of Day
REVISED
Mimi: 34 days
Distance as this night 1934.8 miles (according to Strava*)
Remaining ~980 miles per Google Maps.
Sandy: 30 days
Distance as of this night 1652.0 miles (according to Strava*)
Remaining ~1400 miles
- Remaining distance is based on Google Maps approximate routes to NYC and crossing over the GW Bridge.
*Strava at end of Oct 10th (thank you, Markus)
So Mimi's lead, on a miles/day basis, which was in the neighborhood 10 miles in the early going if I have it right, has dwindled to 1.8 miles (55.0 v. 56.8). The way things have been going, Sandy will pass Mimi, pace-wise, this week.

How long can Mimi continue running 15-16 hours per day? It is very unlikely a 55 year old can do that.

She will continue no problem because the EPO she took, helps!

Maybe pain killers (morphine?) and something that keeps you awake and jittery (cheap speed)? Not a good idea.

60 year old Yolanda Holder just did 18 hour days at the the 3100 mile race in New York this summer.
It's possible.
