Absolutely. Watching them closely they both seem to be in a race against each other. Two DNFd seems more likely that one course completions.
Sandy covered ~54 miles before wrapping up the day. Mimi is short of 49 miles and still going at 8:00 PM Missouri time. Mimi likely knows Sandy ran short today. The longer Mimi runs today the more likely she will kill herself trying to maintain her "lead."
