Markus - do you think Mimi actually completes the run?
She's been slowing day-by-day and taking longer to do what she does thereby getting less recovery and creating a downward spiral.
Can she really do this for three more weeks? Or is she going to be down to 45 mile per day or even lower?
Mimi seems to be looking behind her as if Sandy is going to catch up and pass her by at any moment, so she runs for more hours per day to stay ahead. At the same time she long ago tossed aside her goal of 53 days & 53 miles per day. Instead she is at 57-58 miles per day which would get her very close to finishing in under 50 days.
All we can do is watch Mimi and see when she can no longer continue. The worst thing that could happen to her is she set a record time and a few days later Sandy beats it. Mimi will likely claim that she got the Guinness record even if she only held it for a few days.
