No, Pete who has the record legit.
I've asked her three times now if she will be posting her watch GPS data with cadence and heart rate to Strava each day.
First time evaded the question, second tine said she would be using a tracker like Pete.
Yes, we know she has a tracker. But will she be showing HER WATCH data.
She is playing dumb that she doesn't know what a running watch is and says using a tracker........
Is she on Strava? I couldn't find her....
Her Strava and Facebook pages are below:

Post your GPS stuff and it can be compared to her data. This is not difficult. She tells you where she is and you can contact her and run along.
Wrong way round. As she is going for a world record then SHE must show US the evidence.
If she starts uploading to Strava each day and it all looks okay she will be encouraged.
Sadly many doing this journey HAVE been scammers.
I cannot run with her as I do not live in America
So you can't follow along with this old woman. ... LOL
After Sandra acting dumb over what a watch is, Trasie Phan, and her company Phan Sports Marketing manage have piped up and now say there will be watch data on her Strava.
She was involved with Pete's record.
Now a watch has appeared this might be attempted legit.
Sandra Villines is a solid ultrarunner. An elite runner she is not.

I doubt that she can run 55 mile days through the US. 45 mile days maybe.
I followed her run missons ca stage run last year organized by Trasie Phan.
She ran 350 strava miles in 7 stages.
My notes are here
Well, she can run 100 miles in 20-22 hours. If she runs for 12-13 hours per day she should be able to make her target of 55 miles. It is a matter of how long she can hold out at the pace, plus logistics, plus weather. Setting a record a really, really tough. Finishing a cross-US run in really, really tough.

Doing a 100 mile race in that time in no way proves you can run 55 miles a day for many days. Totally different Yes, finishing any such run is very very tough.
Not sure we will see any records broken. Just would like to see proof she is doing it properly and will finish even if over record

Ha, ha
That's not how math works in ultrarunning especially not in multiday running.
55 mile days would probably be at least 15-16 days for most good runners.
50 miles is possible for a good solid male ultrarunner. Jeremy Bradford did that last year.
Over 50 miles it gets way more trick because you cut seriously into your rest time each day.
We will see how Mimi Anderson does this year. She is shooting for 53 mile days and wants to finish her run across the US in 53 days. I think she might has a chance to do it. But it will be very tough.
Did you know that the guy who set the cross-US record several months ago covered 70+ miles per day, ran about 13-14 hours, and was a very good, but not outstanding 100 miler runner. Why can a male run 70+ per day but a female cannot run 55? Time-wise the two would be roughly equivalent in terms of hours per day running and pace per mile.
Don't be like the other fools and decide before she starts that she is a cheat and a failure. Rather, do as someone suggested, show up a few times during the run and run along and track her pace and position using your own GPS.

That this lady is trying for a record really bothers you. Did you try such a run a fail miserably; therefore everyone who tries cannot possibly do such a run.
"You" want to see "proof." But so far you love people who question her times--that is "proof" in your mind--, and when multiple 100 mile times are proven--under 24 hours--that is not "proof" in you mind. She hasn't even started the run and you are already claiming she is fraud. ... Dude, get yourself some professional psychiatric help.
Jesus, an experienced ultra runner doubts this runner can break the record, so they must be mentally ill?
What's YOUR problem?
Of course people need proof you idiot, it's a WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT.
What do you expect - that we just ask for a letter off her mum to say she did it?
She has been evading saying whether she is using a running watch and a watch only appeared after she read this thread.
A person cannot debate whether it is feasible for her to do it?? They have to be someone that once failed to dare ask?
I would say it is YOU that needs to see a shrink.
We can ask any questions we like and debate it all we like.
She has no history showing she can run well enough to break this record, and I don't need to ask permission from a mental asylum to give MY OPINION on that.
No, running some 100 mile races under 24 hours is NOT proof she can break a world record over thousands of miles. It proves nothing.
Not stating you have a watch and not being an elite ultra runner means I can question her ability all I like thanks.
Now take your meds and ask your doc for a stronger version of the pills.

Pete Kostelnick is a world class ultrarunner. In 2015 he had the 2nd best 24 hour result in the world. He also had done a run through Iowa where he proved that he had potential.
While this was not a guarantee that he could pull that record off it was a good start. You don't have to be a good 100 mile runner to be good at multiday running. Quite the opposite. You have to have a good understanding of your body and what you can do in a day without exhausting yourself for the next day.
My gut feel is that Sandra would have a good shot in the 45-50 mile range. But no way in the 55 mile range that is way out of her league. As far as I know she did only one stage like race over 7 days.
But we will see. I am happy if I am proven wrong. I like to see a the women record from Lorna Michael (Richards) in 1993 smashed. That was about 63.5 days in the Trans Am race.
If you are an ultrarunner you should show up during her run and confirm she is actually doing it. There is nothing else that will satisfy the people who are claiming she is a fraud before she even starts.
She can run 55 in a day. That she has proven. She can run 350 miles over consecutive days. The question is how long can she run 55 miles days.
I followed Pete Kostelnick run and there were a few days it seems his wheels would come off. But he got seconds winds a few times and finished looking really good.

I don't think anybody questions that Sandra can run 55 miles a day.
But running 55 miles on average over 3000 miles on the open road is a total different story.
You just can't compare a world class runner like Pete with Sandra.
People who haven't done it do not understand how significant the difference between a 50 and a 55 mile average is, in a Trans Con. These are worlds apart and it is getting a lot more difficult the more you bump up that mileage.
And I am not talking about a day or two. I am talking about average over 45--60 days.
If Sandra is clever she doesn't start to fast, maybe in the 45 to 50 mile range and let things play out. If she starts with 55 + mile days, she won't see the end of week two.
That is just my educated guess.

The truth is tough to swallow.
What version of the truth would that be, your biased on?
Truth is reality and latest on day 3 it shows up in a multiday run.
You can write down numbers all day long at home but if you have to run it very day it is a total different thing.
Let's wait and see what happens in September.
Mimi Anderson(GB) vs. Sandra Villnes (USA) across the country. What a battle this will be.

As I said, Robert Young got more interest with his dishonest effort that Pete did on a world class effort in which I managed every detail.
I posted the messages you sent me on Facebook and all of Let's Run should know about it too. Questions, constructive comments and suggestions are all welcome. Calling someone a scamming delusional whore is not ok. And then being a coward and deleting your FB profile?
Do something productive with your time, like go for a run.

Hello Trasie, can you provide the GPS watch data for where you claimed on the Sandra Vi website that:
Marathon: Personal Best, 3 hrs, 29 min and 41 sec
? I just don't see this as matching up with Sandra Vi's other performances.
Also, why will you not be providing GPS watch data with cadence for Sandra Vi's run across America? That is the absolute minimum we would expect. Other legitimate runners have done this and will be doing this, so why not for Sandra Vi?
