I actually stand by what I said.
If I just said I've been running 60 mpw consistent at 6:30 pace that would imply that every mile was 6:30(which doesn't make sense because my first post said that I had just completed 10 miles at 6:00 pace).
I said I've been running 60 miles consistent at around 6:30 average. Meaning that when you add up all the time and the miles and average them out it comes out to 6:30.
I've been running 60 miles consistently, averaging 6:30 per mile.
That is how the sentence should have been stated. Punctuation counts. Wording counts.
Consistent is an adj, modifying nouns: I am consistent. You are consistent.
Consistently is an adv., modifying verbs: I have been RUNNING 60 miles CONSISTENTLY.
You don't want your information to get lost in translation, especially when it comes to running.
