Tri meet format such as the Edinburg Cross Country meet (GB-Europe-US) would catch my fancy.

Cool idea. I hope we crush them, just like we did back in the 18th century.
Beat me to it. Nice reference. You will lose wrote:

USA vs Russia in Moscow would be alot better.
On Christmas Day
One of the nine events needs should be a beer mile, run according to UK rules
This sounds great. 2018 is an off year and the more big track meets, the better.
The diamond league is great an all, but the sport has gradually gotten less interesting as slowly there have been less important meets, less WRs, less fast times...
Duel meets like this are a great way to bring people back to the sport.
What a waste of time, GB????? Weakkkkkk!!! Why not the second best athletics nation in the world KENYA!!!

As long as Gatlin runs, it will sell out.
I was just going to post the same thing, "boooo" 😉
Jamaica vs USA vs Russia at Franklin Field is what they should have in 2018
I would like to see
100
400
Mile/1500

4x100

Too many stiffs on this thread. This is awesome news in my opinion! Hopefully we'll see this opening the floodgates for many more dual meets. Perhaps the U.S. can have various teams - like instead of an "A" team and a "B" team necessarily, perhaps USA West, USA Central, and USA East vs. other countries. That'd be sweet.

The UK already has two Diamond League meets and they both suck.
DL is already ruined by the focus on champs in "on" years. The last thing an off year needs is yet another big distraction at the end of July. It's the only time that fast people focus on going fast and setting records.
