In reality we are kind of like the East Africa on the financial boom.
There is current 1,645 billionaires in the world. There is not 1,645 men currently running under 14:00 for 5k. With this being said if you want to be realistic it is the equivalent of being a low level billionaire. You are making an incredible amount of doe as in you can do basically anything you want financially and it wont hurt you. The $10,000 dollar a spin slot machine at Vegas you can play it and it wont put a dent in your income or even hurt you. You have your limits you wont being going to some giant world level board meeting but you get your share of decision and play in the economic world.
A 13:50-14:00 5k runner is going to be able to run most races world wide a few B level IAAF meets with a giant crowd. Like the above you wont get to play ball with the big boys but you will be able to sneak into a couple of races with a few of the big name stragglers.
