London 2017 has seen the Nike Oregon Project take more than a few L's so far.
(NOTE: I'm not trying to disparage any of their performances and say the NOP is falling apart and none of them are ever gonna be good again, far from it. I'm just saying that for a group so good, they're struggling)
Rowbury in the 5k is their last hope and that's gonna be tough after she got beat at USAs by Houlihan (good but not a world-beater) and has people like Ayana to deal with. The rest of the NOP?
Engels: didn't make the US team (cut him some slack because collegiate season and he's new)
Centro: sick / injured pretty much all year, DFL in his heat in London
Jenkins: didn't make the 5k final
Rupp: didn't make the US team (again like Engels we'll cut a bit of slack because of Boston)
Osako: doesn't even get the standard for the 10k
Hassan: killing the DL circuit but doesn't medal at worlds
Farah seems to be the only exception, taking an extraordinary gold in the 10k and putting an incredible effort for the 5k
