Because Kipruto has (or so his coach says) 48 flat.
That doesn't seem like it should be an issue unless Jager is running slower than 51 flat ( which may very well be the case )

Well to begin, in order to run 51-52 you normally run around a 46-47 400m ( Jager wont dont that), you have to be way more efficient at the hurdles (most men that run those times usually run the 110h around 14.5), he can probably run around 48.9 fastest 400, so ill give jager a 54.5 the fastest because the form for steeple is completly different to the 400h, mainly because the trail leg snap is way slower in the steeple compared to the 400h and it takes awhile to get used to the step pattern of the 400h, plus all the distance guys posting their bs input on sprint events and seeing how a distance runner will do is and always will be stupid.
He'd run a decent 400 IH wrote:
An 8:40 Aussie steeple chaser ran a 53.29 400m hurdles. He also ran a 4 flat mile and a 1:50 800m. Sadly, he has since passed. Glenn Stojanovic.
