That looked like a 100% clean & green 200 to me! Finally, the CLEAN, honest, hard-working Joe's get a chance to win gold! I think his face said it all at the finish.
CLEAN RACING FINALLY!
KUDOS TO WADA! 👠-

Weirdest of all was the hype toward a world record in the triple jump. What the heck was that based on? Because Taylor wanted it? When Powell was peaking and had the legendary Lewis with equal ability it made sense to hype the long jump in '91, and it happened. This was merely two guys who are the best in this era.
Frankly they don't deserve Edwards' record or even to be mentioned alongside him. Jonathan Edwards was a bullet train. He made it look like one jump with blurs in between, not plop plop plop. Too bad his 18.43 was slightly wind aided and didn't count.
I agree this was the weirdest thing too. They act like everyone doesnt attempt to break the world record on every jump they take. Did Nbc think Taylor was going to break it simply because they told him to? -
Global Warming. The London track has actually expanded in the last 5 years. They actually had to install expansion joints.

He beat Mo earlier this year in Edinburgh( destroying Korir in the process),
I am in agreement that he's a PHENOMENAL runner but just a quick fact check, Korir beat Hawkins at Edinburgh
Thank you for the correction....He came in second behind LK, but beat MO. -

It's obvious that there has been a crack down on doping. The best proof of this is that the nations with slipshod anti doping are suddenly able to compete. And the Americans and Jamaicans are so slow now.
Definitely, and the fact that guys with 400m speed are populating the 200m final says it all really. Since when has a time over 20.00 been enough to win. Then there is the like of the 'beast', who goes on a beast retreat from 19.30 to one second slower to not make the final. -

Warholm won the hurdles.
Warthog was expected to win by anyone who saw him win at Oslo or Stockholm or wherever.
All the people yammering about how clean it is are eating crow because most of the good ANA athletes who had to prove they're not Russians are doing well. Menkov a decent 4th in LJ, Shubenkov silver in 110h. Lasitskine almost surely will take the gold in HJ. Looks like they're just better athletes after all. -

The result shows how much athletics will miss Bolt.
Who would pay to watch Guliyev race? -

I would pay. I wouldn't knock Guliyev...he's a big shot now and wait till he gets back to Turkey. There will be parades, parties & handshakes from dignitaries.
Bottom line: he beat a stud in VN and smoked the two hot-shot Americans!
Give credit where credit is due! -

Bolt losing is a surprise to you? Bolt is old, and has been regressing for 2 years now. HE didn't come in as the favorite.
LOL. You're an idiot. -

60,000 people including myself paid. You are just cheap. -
The most screwed up World Championships I have ever seen. Please Seb and the IAAF. f OFF and please never ever hold it again London. The fans, the media , especially BBC WERE AN UTTER DISGRACE. Only one man held his head up high. The great MJ.

MJ is good when he sticks to technical sprinting remarks but the rest of his output is tosh eg posing as a medical expert the other day. -

Agreed. The IAAF is run by a British mafia now so best believe they're going to try to turn back the clock decades and replicate the days when Coe and Ovett reigned. -
I think this is actually the most fun I've had watching Worlds. The races where the favorites came through were exciting (women's 1500 and men's 10k....with the men's 400 the event was anticlimactic but it certainly didn't lack drama).
Warholm's win and reaction were pretty cool, I even had a family memeber who knows nothing about track sending me the Warholm reaction gif.
Watching the BBC freak out over Bolt and Van Niekerk losing has been pretty funny too (even though I generally like their broadcasts).
Can't wait for more carnage -

Weather played a huge factor in the sprints, so there is nothing surprising about that. Sprinters don't run well in cold weather, and results are going to be all over the place.
Other than that, no big surprises. Faith won 1500m - she is the olympic champ.
Ayana won 10000m - no surprise there, even without running this season. Last thing any runner wants to do is face a FRESH Ayana.
Mo won 10000m
Steeple chase wasn't a surprise either. Evan won bronze in rio, and bronze here. HE just thought he could turn up the pace and bring it home
Matt has looked like crap all year long, and hasn't been in form.
Molly is a marathon runner now.
Actually, the WC was going really well until the Makwala situation happened. It started off with a great M10000, then a great W10000, followed by an awesome w1500m.....
Pretty sure Evan won Silver in Rio.. -

Who would pay to watch Guliyev race?
Seriously? A white guy winning a sprint who;s not from an Eastern Bloc country?
A lot of white boy sprinters think they have hope now. AND- they can get a lot of tattoos!!! -
