I'm glad Kwemoi is in.
I mist-typed and asked who the Olympian was instead of Ethiopian.
Taresa Tolosa - he's a 19 year old with a 3:34 pb. Must have been hurt. Noticeable limp. Ended up a DNF.
Is anyone surprised an American got dead last in something above 800? Stick to the sprints where the IAAF will give you preferential treatment to get away with doping.

Jammy sod just scrapes in as last of the fastest losers.

We should really get more people in the 5K with Mo "Lance Armstrong" Farah leading the clean athlete charge.

Lucky with the Q, but when will this guy learn? That #1 on the sides must've thrown off his common sense. How arrogant can you keep being, thinking you'll out kick everyone who is faster than you.
I've long since given up on him. In the post-race NBC interview, Dwight was pretty direct about asking Robby what he would have to do differently in the next round. Robby acknowledged that he'd have to switch it up but then just said something stupid about "staying confident". I'm sure he'll do the exact same thing.
He got through automatically, why should he change anything for the semis?
GREAT NEWS!!!
Mekhissi misses out on the semis of the 1500 by 0.06 !!!

Don't like Kwemoi's chances of making the final unless he has another Kenyan in the heat to help him out with the pace/tactics like Manangoi did for Kiprop. Kwemoi seems lost out there often.
Johnny G and Robbie are in!

Mo Farah identifies himself as a clean athlete.

Both Centro and Mekhissi out! The first heat was better than I could have hoped.

Well it will most likely be top 4/5 of each heat to make it automatically. So, he's gotta be a little bit further up in the pack. I do think he should be chasing not being chased at the end. Play to your strengths. But don't do it to too extreme a level.

He put himself in terrible position. I'm not sure he would have made it if there hadn't been a fall. Needs to be closer to the front in the semi.

Sarcasm/10?
Because you never know what is going to happen with the other heats. Is he planning on kicking on all the other 3:34 or better runners? He needs to do exactly what he did at USAs and stay clear of running on the grass.
Why do they have them on their marks for a minute?
Dafne looking good.

It doesn't matter what happens in the other heats if you take an auto spot.
question for the sprinters, if you have enough energy to look behind you six times during a 200m race when you are barely in the lead the first time you check, shouldn't you just keep your head forward and hammer harder?
she is amazing fast for sure but wow that was weird
she's going to snap her neck or pull a muscle if she keeps that up

He barely got the auto spot. Watch the race again on a screen larger than your smartwatch.
Did the American male 1500 runners have margaritas at lunch? They all hung in the back!

My man, did you see the race? That was not even close to being a "comfortable" auto-Q. Barely beat Kwemoi by less than .1, he wouldn't even have known he was 6th until he saw the board. Wasn't exactly blowing by people in the last 100, either.
