No chance of fastest losers from this second heat.
No chance of fastest losers from this second heat.
At least two from the second heat would have to run PBs to push Muir out of the final. She should be fine.

Laura muir just got 7th with a 14:59, that 2nd heat has a very tall order
The first heat was more stacked to begin with
Nice to see Rowbury time it just right.
BBC Two treated Muir's run with hushed drama--almost as if someone were on life-support.
Cram & buddy just announced Dibaba out like they just now broke the story like a scoop. Top 5 only will advance here? I'd take the lead and pace it 15:30ish. Top 7 really worked in that first heat with only 48 hrs. to recover. And a lot of them have the 10K in their legs also. Great opportunity to advance here & save yourself for final.

Best I have seen Rowbury look all year long. She knows this event, and is the america record holder. She has a good chance of getting a medal.
Smart running so far from Hassan & Huddle!!

UGH UGH UGH - WHY????
Going with the Paul Chelimo approach
Huddle going for it, but only 3:06 at the k
Looks like no one is interested in sharing the pace with her
The top girls want to qualify easily with a big Q, some girls can't take the lead and run sub 15, and some girls just straight up can't break 15
Muir & Rowbury just ran all friggin out & Huddle had the chance to easily advance with a 15:30. She totally was controlling the pace
go Molly go
no hiding, so the young ones how it's done
oh my gosh I love Huddle so much
what will I do when she retires after Olympics
Announcers (Brits - Cram & friend) are giddy with how smart Huddle is running??!

very smart running by huddle. She is not leaving it up to a kick, because that first heat was fast as hell.
She is making sure that she qualifies...she is 10000m runner, so she is strong with the distance, but the speed has slipped a little because of her marathon training.
so a very smart tactic by huddle

There more than likely will be some. This pace isn't much different from the first heat. 6 second quicker at the 3km mark actually

Not!
Let's not forget, Huddle ran 15:01 wire to wire back in March, indoors w/ Sisson drafting her the whole time
I'm rooting for her!
9:07.11 at 3k, strain on her face
Sorry chase pack is only 2 second behind leaders at 3k, I looked at Huddles split accidentally
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
