Here it is round 2. Keep denying please. It's funny
Lmao they all stopped replying. Good job shutting the crowd of retardeds up.
Going back to the football analogy...
...but compare it to the bad cone placement on the track.
If a pylon is placed wrong and is not actually fully in the endzone, and a player stretches to barely hit it with the ball as he gets tackled (normally a TD).... Would they still call it a touchdown if the ball didn't actually cross the correct line?
I actually don't know, probably not? The pylon is helpful, and there are rules about where it should be, but I'm guessing the line on the grass is the "real" line. Even if the player would have done something different if they were using the line on the ground for reference vs using the pylon. The cone/pylon is a secondary marker or guide.
Although in both , the person responsible for the bad placement needs to acknowledge the mistake.

too bad the sport of steeple (and the people in it) can't simply all agree to waive and let her in

That was yesterday according to the date, I haven't heard anything on the situation today at all from anyone yet
Can you file a second protest? I don't think you an.

So. Sad. Bee's liitle crush will be watch the final frim the stands
Anyone comparing this situation to basketball is AN IDIOT.
First, stepping out of bounds in basketball results in a turnover, not being disqualified from the game. A similiar penalty for steeplechase would be applying a half-second to Quigley's finishing time.
Second, has anyone ever watched an NBA game? They break a rule on almost every play and usually there is no call at all. How often to you see traveling called in the NBA? Yet someone does it nearly every possession. Fouls are rarely called on the last possession of a game even though that is seemingly the most important time to actually call them. But, they don't want "the refs deciding the game".
Yet, there are plenty of Stick-Up-The-A..... in Track and Field that seem to gleefully search out some tiny, partial stepping on a line in a crowded distance race so they can give out the almightly DQ. Even though not one person could honestly argue that it anyone gained an advantage.

You cannot. The boobs on the Letsrun board, led by their fearless leader Rojo, or Wejo or RoWejo once again demonstrate that they haven't a clue about the rules.
Sad.

But that would never happen... and it doesn't happen in soccer -- giving up one possession for a bad call is different than DQing someone who qualified to advance (and there are finite spots available). That would be more like your team allowing an opposing game-winning goal to stand even though the linesman called offsides.
Stop objectifying women. We all know they wear those tight little shorts because they are comfortable.

Maybe not to you, but it does to me. Hot blonde chicks have been able to do whatever they want, whenever they want for years. Changing that unwritten rule of society is a step too far. First they let guys run in the women's 800, then they started enforcing testing in Jamaica, now hot chicks get kicked out for breaking the rules? STOP THE INSANITY!!!

So, she didn't know that she wasn't supposed to step on the line? This isn't going to get very far.

No, trust David Monti over an anonymous Letsrun poster.
Quigley deserves to be in. Will not be a factor, but let her run.
I like the football analogy. When there's a penalty they give the other team some extra yards.
So why not say, each time you step on the line you get a 1-second penalty? Surely the advantage gained by stepping on the line isn't 1 second. It would actually be a harsh penalty without necessarily changing the outcome of the race.

it does happen in soccer - fair play conduct occurs:

One difference is that you don't get kicked out of the rest of the game for stepping on the sideline in a basketball game.
