It's absurd the women's steeple is top 3 only and next 6 fastest. I guess they are trying to make them run fast.
But you'd think it would be top 4 and 3 or just top 5.
They should have one automatic qualifying spot for the fastest 1500m split.
Q showed great poise and confidence.
Fifteen in the steeple final. That's a bit of a crowd.
Quigley DQd

But she's been DQd. I was wondering if she came too inside on the water jump and it looks like that was the case.

Just saw this - why???
Quigley disqualified. Thought I saw her step out.
The IAAF website is listing Quigly as a DQ? What happened?
That's BS!
Nooooo! So sad!!!
How?
After Kemboi last year, you'd think that coaches would be drilling into their athletes to avoid this.

Won't be surprised if she wins her appeal and is allowed into the final
Absolutely should be emphasized to follow the stated rules, but, c'mon! No advantage was gained by slightly stepping on the line. Seems ridiculous
Probably the French.
Funny how this steeple DQ thing was never a thing until last year....Don't forget Mo Farah ran inside the curb on the last lap of the 10k.
Going home devastated tonight or tomorrow?
I'm sick of people stepping on the lines. It deserves a disqualification. They are there for a @#$%^*@ reason.
Agree. I saw her take one step over the line after the water jump, but it looked as if she might have been pushed. In any case, she gained no advantage at all. Crazy if the DQ holds up.
