Bad Wiggins you nailed it. Jager shoulda jumped on the gas hard early.
I am pleased that the mean French dude did not medal.

How devistating it must have been for the French dude to miss out on a medal to what IAAF considers a likely doper

Jager did not not look at all devastated. By the way, this recurring "devastated" motif on LetsRun is way past its "sell by" date and isn't even vaguely amusing at this point. You guys really like belaboring things to death, don't you?
While you may be a long time visitor this site, you just proved you are a "new guy" here. You simply are not on the same plane as us, and I would suggest that you do not discuss any more motifs, memes, or mannerisms of the LRC until you have been stripped of your moran status. You won't get this much free advice anywhere else here, use it well. Your welcome.

Did mekhissi start a fight or shove the mascot to vent his anger?

I could tell Kipruto was gonna win when Jäger wasn't dropping him. Still a solid run getting bronze. Now it's time to break 8 minutes finally.
It was clear from the beginning he was running for a medal, not for gold.
But you can't fault a guy for being the best the country has ever had, for having a great season, for being a favorite and getting a bronze. God bless Evan Jager for making it an exciting event again.
Now break 8:00 before the end of next year. Get a sports psychologist. And starting realizing you are a legitimate gold medal contender. You can run a solo 7:56 and burn their wheels off.
Kipruto is quite the comedian. Many chances to break 8:00, but prefers to goof around down the finishing straight instead.
He wasn't breaking Kipruto today, leading would probably give him the win and El Bakkali would get a nice PB in the process. He might even lost the bronze medal that way.

I'm saying nuthin 😂 😂 😂 😠🤣
Why do you Kenyans hate Jager so much?
No but he might be watching the replay in an attempt to find a foot inside the curb from the top 3. That seems to work sometimes.

Glad he didn't medal after Rio, but a Moroccan did get silver.
Hard to say he is better than Kipruto. I agree that if he had pushed harder through the first third of the race, he might have exposed any lack of fitness in Kipruto (which was the basis for Jager being the favorite). Maybe not.

I wish the other American would have helped him some, been a team player especially since he was kinda unlikely to medal

This is laughable, at best.
We are saying a guy from the USA is going home devastated with 3rd place in the Steeplechase...The freaking steeplechase...A guy from a country that was an absolute "joke" at the world stage for 30+ years comes in 3rd, winning the first medal for that country at the world championships.
Even the announcers said he was the favored to win. We can be happy with a bronze but the others are correct in stating he should have went for it sooner.

Maybe not yet, but give him a couple of years. Everybody knows racing is an old man's game, just ask Gatlin. Jager will start winning gold as soon as he hits his peak in his late 30's!!!
Jager BOMBS, goes home devastated.

"I wish the other American would have helped him some"
By "other American" do you mean the Kenyan in the USA singlet?
