I really felt sorry for Hassan. She, more than Muir, deserved something out of that race. Does anyone speak judge and know what she's saying here?

Just watched a replay. The first time I've ever seen Semenya run hard! I wonder what would have happened if she had gone with the move when it started?

She is.
https://twitter.com/wgkantai/status/894986378261475330Bumping for Faith as she, again, has been overlooked for World Athlete of the Year. The women's 1500m was hands down the most anticipated event of the World Championships and it lived up to the hype. I guarantee you if home girl Muir had won the race it would have been declared the outstanding athletic achievement of the year and earned the the WAOTY title by a mile.

Faith winning her junior world XC title. Blatant age cheat.

Here she looks 34 yet, she ran against juniors.
HOW DARE SHE!
I know, right? Anyway, really disappointed in the IAAF. Laura Muir was the talk of the athletics world for doing well in a bunch of 1500m races and was being set up to be the star and face of the worlds in London. When she didn't live up to the hype and couldn't compete with Faith and Sifan Hasan, the event suddenly becomes irrelevant.

Muir and other athletes do well in 1500m/one mile races when pulled along by rabbits for the first 800m. Muir had her chance in 2017 WC 1500m final. She slowed to over 71 seconds the 2nd lap. It was no longer Muir's race when 800m was passed in 2:17+. As I stated in August, great race by Faith Kipyegon!

Well of course Laura Muir would have won Athlete of the Year, she is white and British. I don't see what your problem is 😂

She wasn't even most people's favourite this year with many picking Hasan over her.
FAITH IS A LEGEND!
2019 World Championships (with only months of training from childbirth, starting in January 2019) ? behind an unbelievable SIfan Hasan

Yet another age-cheat Kenyan who benefits from the country's systematic doping programme.
Just gonna bump this guy's post made three years ago. Really says it all.

Pretty sure that Kipyegon is the hot favorite for Tokyo
Love Faith. Her quivering, relaxed lips near the finish line gives me Rudisha-level goosebumps.
It’s a mostly white boys club here, so love or adoration for African runners comes sparingly. To be fair, Faith has gotten attention as a serious medal contender around here, but love appears reserved largely for the light colored pony tails, not braids.
I’m always struck by the extent of doping accusations levied against African runners on LR relative to Caucasian ones, not just relative to American runners (that is at least understandable).

She's fantastic, El Keniano. I was sceptical if she could win because I thought Hassan is not human, now I'm really happy about this outcome.
Laura Muir agrees:
Asked about Kipyegon’s standing, silver medallist Laura Muir did not hesitate to declare: “She's the greatest of all time”.
“She doesn't get enough credit," Muir added. "She's won everything there is. I've got a lot of respect for her and I'm very, very happy to see her winning gold and I'm honoured to be behind her in that race."
She really deserves more recognition.
The best thing she did was she thought it looked, so she wore it!
Great job!
