Jenny said wants to run Birmingham and then assuming she gets points the Diamond League finale.
Then later at press confernece, she said this year they changed some things in training to try and be better later in the year so she thinks she's got something left in tank. In past year's. she's run fast at Pre and Rome.

Her tactics are better than her legs, barely. -

You don't speak the truth
Rowbury beat Simpson in the last two Diamond League meets in 2016
Also in the 2015 Diamond League meet where Rowbury set the AR
Does it make you feel better coming up with such false stories
Championship medals. -
A poetic tutorial on why not to use the word hep in todays world.
The jive is hip, don't say hep
That's a slip of the lip, let me give you a tip
Don't you ever say hep it ain't hip, NO IT AIN'T
It ain't hip to be loud and wrong
Just because you're feeling strong
You try too hard to make a hit
And every time you do you tip your mitt
It ain't hip to blow your top -
Isn't that what championship runners should be doing? God Bless workout kings and low pressure race placers, but Gamers like Jenny are what it should be all about!!

You're right, it would be much better if she was a factor in the DL and not at championships.
Worlds are cool, but I like rewarding consistency. I've always rued that this sport puts so much emphasis on one meet instead of the whole season. -

It is not that Rowbury couldn't sometimes beat Simpson, but Simpson won the Diamond League and she had won 3 world and Olympic medals during a period that Rowbury had earned just one, and none after Simpson shifted to the 1500m. If you think that I am making up the resentment and competitiveness that Rowbury held for Simpson, go back and watch those competitions. In virtually every single meeting between them, Rowbury would sit on Simpson, not going on ahead even when she was in better shape--and though I think Simpson could run a much, much faster 5000m than she has and would have taken the steeple record down a lot from where she had it, Rowbury has been in great shape numerous times but not been able to get past Simpson when it counts. Her only U.S. outdoor championships, surprisingly given her forays into the 5000m, were in 2008 and 2009. Simpson was in the way the whole time since. In the meantime, Simpson has won 7 U.S. outdoor championships, including one at 5000m and two at steeple, and she was 2nd in the senior race at U.S. xc in 2014. She also won 3 steeple titles in the NCAA and twice took 2nd in xc (also an unaccountable 163rd, of course) (Rowbury had no individual titles in college).

I give Salazar a good deal of the blame for taking on the coaching of Sifan Hassan. The Oregon Project was supposed to be helping America regain distance excellent and here he brings in someone not only to help Rupp medal while potentially costing other Americans, but now someone for (or against?) Rowbury to cost Simpson.
-
Well, at least Hassan obligingly stepped aside when Jenny wanted past.

Here is Jenny Simpson's Olympic Resume. Not too stellar, in my opinion -
2016 Rio Olympics, Bronze Medal - 4:10.53
2012 London Olympics, 12th in Semi Final - 4:06.89
2008 Beijing Olympics, 8th Final 3000m SC - 9:22.26 -
Goodness, xcvxcvxc sure is obsessed with the Simpson vs Rowbury stats.
However, once again there are false statements.
1) Rowbury did win an NCAA title
2) Rowbury did not sit on Simpson in every race they contested. I know you want to convince everyone of this, but it simply isn't true
3) Rowbury has 2 global medals not 1
4) What resentment are you referring to? Do you personally know Rowbury and has she shared with you these sentiments
5) By virtue of beating Simpson in some major DL races Rowbury has been able to "get past Simpson" when it counts
Why don't you just celebrate Simpson's silver medal and stop obsessing falsities about Rowbury? Heck, she wasn't even in the race today. -

2012 London Olympics, 6th - 4:11.26
2008 Beijing Olympics, 7th Final 1500m - 4:03.58
Sure, 4th, 6th and 7th add up to be lower than 3rd, 8th, and not even a final, but it also doesn't include a MEDAL AT THE OLYMPICS. I'd take a medal with worse other results then pretty good but not quite there results across the board. -
I was not comparing her to Shannon Rowbury. They have enough head-to-head battles for those to make decisions.
I was simply stating that Jenny Simpson's Olympic resume is not that stellar. And now that you bring to light Rowbury's Olympic resume, Shannon appears much more consistent. However, I give the nod to Simpson based on 2016 Rio. -
yeah obviously, Jenny is a better all around runner than Rowbury and has achieved far more in her career.
Something interesting though: Notice how she said in the interview she was thinking "I'm going to win". I find that fascinating...does she mean to say that Faith was not clean? That that gold medal will eventually be hers? -
another thought: Jenny is a total gamer. No one is better when it matters than she.

It looks like you did not remember that Faith Kipyegon won the 1500m at the 2016 Olympics and also won this race at the 2017 World Championships.
The people at LRC are highly educated. They are the real experts on running.
The combined 'Real Expert Intelligence' at LRC has the ability to make highly accurate predictions for any race at any time.
For example:
How great is this?
Before Worlds, here is how the LRC nations voted.
Women's 1500
Winner Votes Pct%
Sifan Hassan 539 49.4%>>>>>>>>>>actual result: 5th place
Genzebe Dibaba 372 34.1%>>>>>>>actual result: 12th place (last place)
Faith Kipyegon 144 13.2%>>>>>>>>actual result: 1st place
Other 37 3.4%
Very well done.
That was really accurate. -
anyone know where the replay of this race is? or where i can stream these events live?

I know you're a troll, but you still deserve to be called an idiot.
A single Olympic medal gives you a stellar olympic resume.
End of discussion. -

She won the Diamond League in 2014.
Fair, she was a factor then when she was at her peak. Since then though? Only competes in select races.
SO WHAT!! That's her prerogative, go back under your rock. -

This sport?! Soccer outside the US and motor racing sports are the only major sports I can think of that don't rely on a major final, and even soccer's most prestigious prize is the one-off Champions League final, plus every league has one major league cup and usually some ridiculous minor cups.
Plus, more so in competitive countries, track and field athletes have to be in great shape to actually make it to the big championship meet (qualify for nationals, then qualify for global championship from nationals; or actually be accepted into Diamond League), and then go through the rounds at the championship (except for 10k and marathon), so they have to be in crazy shape for the length of a US football season.
