Is anyone else curious about jamin? I mean I want to meet this guy in the same way that when I pass a crash on the road I want to slow down to take a look.

I have thought about starting a thread asking this very question. I paid for Netflix for a time, but I canceled it. Its just underwhelming.
I not only think Amazon video is overrated. I don't understand the entire company of Amazon and why everybody thinks its so great. I have Amazon prime right now just to see what its all about but I'm going to cancel.
I subscribe to Hulu just because all the episodes of South Park and Seinfeld are on there. That combined with the a decent selection of movies is good enough for me.
In the Midwest 6-7 yrs ago you could average around 40-45/ea for tv/internet. Now it seems to be north of $120. with a big drop from in selection
This kind of backfired with the millennials choosing to "cut the cable" now I think they(Dish, Comcast, etc) are in transition and are being conscious to competition...in my rural area your seeing smaller x companies offering a No contract service
i feel like mr. benjamin "the jamin" king does this weird stuff in real life and just posts it on here to piss off the manlets.
but seriously, when a troll posts so often on these boards and everyone hates them it does become a little annoying. the threads aren't even that funny.

Okay.
Lots of people do.
Exactly. Haven't had cable in a long time. Use my $35 Amazon firestick to watch Amazon movies/series (included with $99/yr Amazon Prime membership). $9.99/mo for Netflix. Watch most of track and field and other sports highlights on Youtube.
Will subscribe to SlingTV once in awhile for a month to watch ESPN if they're covering Grand Slam tennis.
Cheaper than paying $80/mo every month for cable on top of Netflix.

a total waste of money.
Nonsense. Some of the best series I've ever scene were on Netflix and Amazon Prime:
Broadchurch
The Killing
The Fall
Happy Valley
Goliath
Dr. Forester
Blockbuster still exists? In what, like maybe 5 locations.
One of the great things in our society is you are not required to buy anything you don't see the value of.
You can blissfully continue to go to one of the remaining 5 blockbuster locations and rent your dvd's (or RedBox, or Netflix DVD).
Those of us who like Netflix (and/or Amazon) can pay for it.
And some can just go to the Movie Theater.
And neither of us needs to justify our choices.
You guys just don't get it. Zero value services like Amazon and Netflix, fueled by boatloads of cash from low information consumers, are killing services (like Blockbuster) that actually offer value to their customers.
It is hard for you sometimes, but lots of things are hard for you.

What value does Blockbuster give you?
Here's the value I get from Netflix: I can see what others think of the movie, I can search, I can see my rental history, I can see other movies that are rated similarly (i.e. you rated Hacksaw Ridge 5 stars, you can see what movies others who rated Hacksaw Ridge rated high), it's very convenient.
For me, it's not a zero value service.

If I ever experience mutual attraction I will be glad to do the date flick thing you described
That was not an offer you numbskull.
amazon video comes with amazon prime so for many people it has no marginal cost. Netflix costs $10 per month for HD version. Hulu costs $8 per month. Add in HBO now for $15. You're total costs are at $33 per month not $500.....
Add in the newest Apple TV, which aggregates all of your video apps in one place and suddenly you have a one stop shop for media. You're essentially buying Netfilx for old movies + Netflix content. HBO for newer movies + HBO content and Hulu for basic cable content.
Cable costs $80-$100 per month and you don't get Netflix originals. That's the value but if you don't watch TV than there is zero value.
I think what you're failing to comprehend is the difference between "value to you" and value more generally. If at this point in your life you should understand that different people have different preferences and gain value from different things.
Stop being so vaccinated.

Jamin has no clue what mutual attraction is. He will never make a first move.
Old enough to remember Blockbuster Video; Still uses parents' Netflix account.
South Park the movie or the series? 'Cause you can watch every episode for free at their site.

No you can't. Hacksaw ridge isn't on Netflix.

LOL. Yet another simpleton triggered by seeing the five letters j-a-m-i-n.
I pay about $55 per month for cable TV. In my opinion, it's a much better deal than the streaming options.
