David Rudisha has only run three or so 400m races in the last twelve years. I have talked to Brother Colm and observed his training at St. Patrick. His athletes all do endurance training. Brother Colm, likes to focus on rhythm and flexibility, this is his basis before he moves them to full training. Brother Colm knows the right speed training but he is not a sprint coach. David's father was a sprinter so when he was young he ran 400m like Daniel but Brother Colm changed him early on. From my memory Steve Ovett and Seb Coe were 400m runners at a young age.
