Yes, clothes make the man.

Too bad the director thinks 400 MW QF and stick jumping is more interesting.
Paula shouldn't be telling the viewers to go cheer for Hawkins. Being partisan as an announcer is one thing but she shouldn't be trying to influence the outcome of the race.

That's why I'm watching the red button which has no commentary!

You know the BBC is British coverage right? If you want unbiased coverage check the official World Championship stream. Nothing wrong with asking the Brisish public to cheer for and lift their athlete
Is Meucci still in 6th?
One Finnish commentator claims that Kiruis mileage is about 70% of other elites. If that's true he's going to have a superb career ahead.
Hawkins now in same camera shot as Kipketer

But that's not coverage, that's participation.
What if the stadium announcer told the crowd to cheer for a British runner and help them win during the 5000? Non-British athletes would rightly complain.
There is a difference between the commentators on a british TV vs the official commentators of the event in the stadium

That's an ad hominem argument, the stadium announcer is being paid by the IAAF and is directly a part of the World Champiopnship apparatus, so he is expected to be unbiased. Broadcasting stations are not. She isn't advising people to block the path of the runners so the british athlete can win. She simply is asking that they cheer him on so he can get a psychological lift.
excellent 4th for Hawkins @ 1.51. Simbu almost caught Tola but ran out of road.
Shame Kipchoge is only concerned with chasing the money and didn't compete here.
Typical BBC bias, hoping that Tola would implode. Radcliffe did the same thing at the London Marathon with Keitany, hoping she would suffer and slow down.

That's the amazing thing about Kipchoge though. He is so good, and such a beautiful runner, you almost feel cheated anytime there's a marathon and he isn't competing.

Wth does he have to prove running here?
PBs for Hawkins and Meucci.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
