Bump.
Bump.
Just a reminder.
And if Kipchoge bothered to run the track today, he would smoke Farah with his 2hour marathon shape
kipchoge is an all around better runner , have you never looked at his pr's ?
they are kinda good - even the track ones

Kipchoge, the best marathoner in the history of the world (and seemingly your favorite, too), quit track after finishing 7th at the Daegu 5000m-far behind Mo and many others-and then failing to make the London Olympic team.
Remind me again about how many marathoners could "kick Mo's ass" on the track?
Mo Farah ran 26:49 with a solid kick. Great Job! Lets see him run 26:17. Bekele would have literally been half a lap in front of Mo. Lets see Mo run some times that suggest he wouldn't be embarrassed in a race against the real all time greats in their primes.

You missed the point entirely. Of course he was great on the track. Then he wasn't anymore, so he moved to the marathon and destroyed everyone. Great.
But then people claim that somehow, all of the people who are much slower than past-prime Kipchoge on the roads could just hop on the track and dust Mo. It is a ridiculous claim for many reasons.

That;s what happens in most championship races. Its his competitors who need to change tactics
Didn't see anyone complaining on here when Centrowitz won the 1500 in the slowest time for decades
The competitors changed their tactics. Pushed him. Great race, but he proved able to win at any speed.

think before you write
EPO doesn't have the same effect in the marathon. Everyone knows this...
Marathon is more about efficiency than absolute oxygen values.
This is factually incorrect, there is no real evidence to support this. There is plenty of evidence over the years that shows both blood doping and epo have helped cheats Cierpinski in 1976 & 1980, Jeptoo & Sumgong, then there is Paula. Heck Hermans reckons Kimetto was a cheat (pot calling the kettle black). Then there was the Sunday Times investigation of London Marathon winners with dodgy blood values.
