A little background;
I am a 34 year old middle school math/science teacher. I sort of stumbled into the career as the "least worst" option after graduating university and travelling for 3 years.
I've always had an "entrepreneurial" personality and get bored easily and I feel mostly for these 2 reasons early teaching burnout. I'm bored to death 90% of the time. I really want a career transition and something that will be fulfilling for the next 30+ years.
I have an excellent opportunity for the next year to really get the ball rolling as I'll be subbing and can work as little as 10 hours a week - I have about 10-15k to put towards this transition.
Here are my 2 biggest problems and why I'm seeking advice;
1 - I don't know which career/skillset to pursue. This is probably because of the indecisive nature of my personality. I've been attracted at one point or another to pursuing careers in; strength training, ecology, web/software development, marketing research, engineering and the list goes on.
2 - I'm unsure of which path to take. Do I take night courses? Do I create a portfolio and try to intern somewhere? Is there any other options.
Thanks in advance. It would be great to hear from others as well that have made a move in their 30s!
