Did I miss something?
Did I miss something?
Because he knows he wouldn't win it
I thought he said the training was too hard or something so he decided to just do the 100
Nope - I don't think he was planning on it. Running 100 and the quarter relay.
I haven't paid that much attention to sprints this year, but are his chances really that much worse in the 200 than in the 100?
2 Reasons: WVN, Mukwala
Not into the traning involved and I'm sure he felt with DeGrasse and WVN there he'd have to be at the top of what he has left....game.

No, Bolt announced he'd only do the 100 long before either of those two expressed interest in doing the 200m.
Bolt knows the 200 is hard training wise, the 100m not so much. He wanted to retire. His coach and sponsors begged him to do one more season. He doesn't actually want to himself.
The 100m is less work.
Fair enough. Still, seems like a shame to see him doing only one of the two. Either go for it or don't. If he's not training hard enough to do the 200, seems like he ought to be beatable in the 100, and it'd be a real shame to see him lose in his last race.
It's disappointing that he's not, because it would have the potential to be very tight between him and Van Niekerk.
I think Van Niekerk was in 19.5x shape in Rio last year. Bolt's fastest time since 2012, I believe, is only 19.55.
I really don't even know who I'd pick in that scenario because both of them are so tough under pressure.
DeGrasse the one to beat.

I agree, and Bolt does look worse this year than any other.
Remember it's also about the schedule. Three races plus the relay are easier than 6 plus the relay.
basically told not to by iaaf and intelligence handlers
as their new project wayde must do the double .
both have been given near freedom to dope and pushed within their media.
the emergence of present day south african athletics smells completely off
and all to do with speed peptide and intentional lack of testing
just like jamica before them . the very reason for wada to allow such things
this never happened with steroid era so what changed , igf-1 lr3 did.
look at lions in the super rugby , their pack is just rolling over opposition
same doping is now chronic in rugby and very evident .
also
just like article in intelligence controlled marxist bbc where bolt told
to say how dirty athletics is now and killing sport but just mocking the public
as he is the very reason it is , no other person benefitted more from current
and previous situation and emergence of igf-1 lr3 .
either we get the true dirt soon showing their absolute control of doping
within sport and whole narrative or we will never .
absolutely mocking and comments section for article controlled too obviously
He confirmed this as long ago as Rio last year, that this year would be his final Champs and that he'd only be doing the 100m.

I don't agree with that.
It takes greater fitness to run the 200 with rounds.
Look at last year. The 200m semis were very fast and only Bolt equaled his time in the finals.
He can be fit enough to be better at the 100 than the 200.
And if you're only going to do one, the 100 is the way to go.
bolt one of the dirtiest ever .
absolute mockery for an article .
bolt and his country along with east africans
have done more to damage track than all others
IGF -lr3 ..................
People tend not to overtax themselves on a retirement tour.

Yeah, cause he knew back in Rio that WvN would tear him a new one.
It doesn't matter when he announced this, he's not running because it was a guaranteed loss.
