I think by now, folks ought to be just satisfied with what Andrews is and what he has accomplished.
To the other poster, he certainly HAS run many , many races from too far back.
For some reason, no one has ever told him or he refuses to process, the fact that you may closer around fading guys, but you will never clear six real quality guys,
But it is what it is, there was no guarantee that as a 4:03 HS'er once, that he would even be this good? he has made teams, and won titles going back to NCAAs as well.
I think people get enamored with his closing speed in avg, to slower types of races. Has he ever lit it up in a sub 3:37 race? Not really .Even Gregorek came back on him in deep stretch recently.
Is he ever closing madly off of 2:51? not really.Off 2:55-57 lots of guys look good.,
I also do not see the logic in an 1:50.6 TT 800 at all, that should be an effort that he should be able to do standing on his head in a workout.
For some reason, even though he is stronger/older better his 800 speed has completely flattened out and gotten much slower.
I do think folks should be glad to see that he makes teams, and he is a threat in right race, and that's what it is?
