I can get Hulk Hogan tans and I hate the beach at least where I live. You can't swim in the water as it's too cold and polluted. In the Caribbean the surf is too strong and has strong tides. I never got the beach thing.....

10/10. Where is this

That's a watering hole, not a beach LOL. This is an acceptable swimming area if you go family camping.

O I thought you were the OP, my bad. As I was saying these areas are especially nice for campers and nature lovers. You can swim with the wildlife and feel the power of the outdoors when the clouds enclose you with the surrounding trees-in a word, it's majestic.

And what about sharks?
You either don't surf or fish...
Beach was awesome again today.
The secret is to get on, get in, get out, leave.
I don't mind the beach if I immediately hit the water, and the water I love, so much better than a pool. Then I rest on blanket for about 30 and then repeat swim. After a total of about 75 minutes I leave. Shower, drive away from the beach and have lunch.
Or, as a runner go for swim in ocean or lake after a nice run. Great way to cool off. Then back for a shower and I'm done.....I agree to sit on a blanket in the sand and to fry is ridiculous. Use the beach --- don't let the beach use you. lol

😳ðŸ˜ðŸ™„
I went to the beach last week.
There were tons of beautiful fit women in skimpy bikinis. Every year they get smaller.
After a long run, I kick back on the beach with some cold ones watching the scenery.
Yeah, that's horrible fellas. That's ok, I got this, leave me to it. You go on doing your thing.

Yup. Can't stand it. Hot, sandy, boring after about 30 minutes. I grew up in Colorado so I don't have any childhood beach memories/emotions to build on. Now as an adult I live in the northeast and the beaches suck as compared to, e.g., socal, but people here think they're world class. Which makes me hate the whole thing even more.
Well I am world class and you just need to know how to beat the crowds...
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4662578/Pic-shows-crowds-kept-NJ-state-beach-Chris-Christie.htmlNobody knows why they go to beaches. They didn't go until beach tourism was invented. The tourism industry can make people do anything for leisure, it only has to be a diversion from what they usually do. That's how they got them to go skiing too.
The best kind of vacation to have is one you invent yourself instead of the tourism industry thinking up the ideas for you.
