who left arkansas and any news on the new auburn coach?
Doug Williamson left I believe and No to Auburn. Huffins I think at Cal. Cartwright at Alabama. Perv at Oklahoma. No idea at Wash.
I think Metcalf will keep the vault coach on. Also, Huffins is not a sure bet at Cal. Arkansas is a mystery.
Any idea who will be teh sprint coach at Washington? I know that they had a problem recruiting sprinters for a while.
THe guy that coached at Clemson a few years back is what I hear.
Good choice if it's the dude that was the one who had all those women sprinters and hurdlers. I remember seeing them at sea ray relays one year, wow. Any word on Cal Berk.? I hope Anderson get's it.
Ralph White currently at Williams?
Maybe it was three years ago, the guy before white. He was there for five or six years. Anderson at AZ state?
Word is Cal wants Anderson from Arizona State.
Huffins will be the coach at Cal.
Who left Northridge? Bell is the guy that was at Clemson that is said to be going to Washington. Kent state is to hire bryan fetzer
"Kent state is to hire bryan fetzer"
What are your sources? Considering they haven't even gone through the interview process yet as of Thursday, how can you say this?
Kent State will not be hiring an XY. Bank on an XX
yep, that's right although I heard the early leader was fetzer as well
Does anyone know where Layne Anderson from Auburn and Rodney Rothoff from Tennessee are going now that they have both lost their jobs?
They need counseling help
Has Anderson applied (for the Cal job)? And, if so, has he gone through the interview process yet? Don't know much about him, aside from the fact that he is a good sprint coach and has 16 year's experience. How does he compare to Huffins in terms of being a draw to prospective new families and donors?
Huffins thinks he's a good coach BUT he's done nothing! Where's his athletes.
Zebber, don't know if you've kept up with another thread, but Huffins has coached an all-american in the Jav, and the 1999 ACC champ in the 100/200/4x100. He's only worked with young programs so far (many of the events he coaches at Georgia tech didn't exist before he got there, hence, he's got a very young crop of athletes). Give him some time. Just because ha has yet to create a track dynasty doesn't mean he's not a good coach. I hope to god he proves himself so that people like you who don't actually know anything about him as a coach, and are basing their opinions of his coaching on his big-mouthedness as an athlete, will be silenced.
Evidently Lance Brauman of Barton Co has taken the Arkansas asst job!
