Why do you think he deleted the tweet?
Probably because of Lagat's comment, since I could not find any other reaction to it

You seem to be serious about running so I will give you an honest answer. :)
When I see his posts at Facebook they "breath" that this will be the last serious season for him. But maybe he keep on mostly to be a good running mentor for the new young guys. Or maybe he starts a new career as a coach.
On the other hand he ran that 1.44.43 800 now so maybe he will take it out until the OG in Tokyo 2020. Whatever happens he has had a fantastic long career and is one of history`s big middle distance runners. I doubt he ever will accept a coach. And he seem to read a lot of posts at Facebook,Twitter and so on so I think it was very strange that he didn`t know what maxVO2 -intervals are according to our chatt.
After this season I will ask him a last time if he want to make a try for the world-record in the 1500m with my coaching. He absolutely still have the ability but needs a more structured program to achieve it as I see it.

I sometimes laugh for myself at Asbel`s reaction when I suggested him to run maxVO2-pace intervals. He said : "No way! I will not use maxVO2! "
He explained to me that "MAXVO2" was a supplement that was doping and absolutely forbidden...... :)

This is like the 15th time this week that I've seen this post by this guy

I heard him and the IAAF have a bit of banter going on. They gave him the hilarious nickname 'Likely doping'.
Brilliant stuff, we need these characters in the sport.
Gosh, illiteracy really is the bane of modern Britain. Find someone who didn't flunk GCSEs to read the leak for you. No, they don't have Asbel as "Likely doping" (that would be Farah), rather as "further data required". Nice try, nevertheless.
The odds of a guy from a cheating country appearing on that list and not being a cheat?
Passport suspicious, haha.

So you finally found someone that can read to check it out for you, I see. It means they needed more information to arrive at a conclusion. Quite different from the damning statement that the only British athlete of note is "likely doping".
Coach J.S. if you ask all the top Kenyans and Ethiopians the same question, you will be very lucky to get 1% of them knowing what VO2MAX is. We are not into those technical terms nor do we need to know them. Remember the great Daniel Komen did not even know what pace he needed to keep when racing. He would tell his coach to just tell him go faster or slower if that is what is needed! And this is not a sign of being illiterate. The best way is to explain to him in simpler terms and he will realize that is what he has been doing without knowing what it is called or they know it by a different name. All the best, Coach!

C'mon man..."lucky to get 1%" of all top Kenyan & Ethiopian runners knowing the definition of VO2max? Be serious...they have access to smartphones & computers. And I'm sure they've heard the term long enough to research it or ask their coaches. And some of them speak very good English too - I've seen their post-race interviews many times. These are world-class elite athletes who are not ignorant.
If they don't care what VO2 max is, that makes them wise, not ignorant
Credit Limit wrote:Yes, but it happened! Nothing else mattered last year apart from the Olympics. Kiprop had no excuse for not winning
yes he did
his manager was scandalously singled out which upset Asbel's training & he even had to provide testimony !
he was no way near peak shape in rio
It was tailor made for him and he flopped big time
no he wasn't
the false accusations against his manager severely disrupted his training
The spectre of through and rigorous testing probably had a part in his demise too. There is no denying that Kenyan athletes have not been tested anywhere near as much as western athletes for past few decades. Thankfully, seems to be more of a level playing field now
is this a joke ???
then how come it didn't stop the Kenyans
- winning 800M
- winning 3kSCM
- winning M
- winning 1500W
- winning 5000W
- winning 3kSCW by export
- getting silver in women's M thru an export, who may get upgraded to gold behind Kenyan winner
- getting silver in 10kW in 29'32 !!!
so, you claim testing is now much better in Kenya & they still won truck-load of golds !!!
only one who failed to live upto expectations were Asbel who had legit excuse with his nanager being falsely targeted & Kamwo who had serious chest infection which kept him out for months after rio - likely TB
your allegation that Asbel bombed because of better testing is absolute rubbish
Asbel's manager is dirty just like Jama.
Asbel wasn't scared by better testing because the testing is utter rubbish. When they catch someone that person is forced to pay hush money and they are suddenly clean. Asbel lost because he lost his source of sauce. Without the good stuff he isn't even a 3:34 runner.

We all knew about Farah anyway, so no real need for smugness on that one.
It's tough to find his name on the list in amongst the next stack of dirty Kenyans though. Another batch for the Kenya doping train.
What it means is that he's probably doping but they don't have a lot of information because they try to avoid testing the Kenyans as much as possible because of the embarrassment it brings to the sport.
Bare minimum, to make it look like they're trying to stop it.

By cheating country, can I assume you are referring to the US or UK?

Exactly. How someone who looks like an insectile aberration without a scrap of meat on them could possibly run that fast is unbelievable.
In the Rio OG 1500m, Asbel's surge from about 300m remaining to 200m remaining was remarkable. If he could move like that "off the sauce," what would we have seen were he "on the sauce?" My point is, that surge is hardly consistent with a decline in performance due to not using PEDs (though I'm not suggesting it indicates PED use either).
Once again Ventolin proves to be a doping apologiser.
Im 100 % shore Asbel is no doper!!! He is too proud to do such a thing. He hates dopers! He is ready for sub 3.30 if it will be needed in London!

You mean that surge which caused him to subsequently fade to 6th or 7th? Hardly a "remarkable" result. Terrible example for the point you're trying to make.

This is so idiotic.
He ran 1:44 and 3:31 just weeks after his 19th birthday. He ran 3:35 at 18y2m, placing 4th in the world championship final. He won world cross U20, at 17.
Since you say he wouldn't have 3:34 ability without "the sauce" (LOL), and he ran 3:35 at 18, is it your assertion that he been "on the sauce" the year/years before that?
That is an interesting idea that agents were roaming Kiprop's hometown (can you name it?) in 2006-2007, looking for mediocre teenagers to "sauce."
You need help.

1. His real age was older than 18.
2. His dad was a professional runner so the doping agents would have known right where to look.

Wrong again.
As I asked, do you even know where he was born and grew up?
