Not HS coach, university coach, whom guided him to two NCAA titles.

You actually wanted "who" in this case, not whom. Whom is an object pronoun.
Imagine asking a question:
Who guided him?
not
Whom guided him?

Ahuh...
Lets get used to the idea, like with college scholarships, that survival of the fittest is at work. A small number really excel, the rest either are up and down or totally bomb. Every coach can point to this as a general rule.
Levins runs way too many miles! Anything over 115 - 120 is just excessive for some 5 - 10 K guy. He ran double that. Its not working

it's pretty amazing how Galen Rupp has handled it all these years. Maybe being married with kids is enough distraction, but he can handle the pressure and keep performing and winning medals.
Yeah, the little late night rub from uncle Sal with the "Special" cream doesn't hurt either.....

After watching his "Driven" documentary I have come to the conclusion that Cam is one of the stupidest human beings I have ever seen in my life. Seriously go watch his 1k workout where he starts out at 2:36 and ends in 3:10 and says it is okay because "its the effort that counts". Not to mention he did that in 35 degree weather in short shorts while his spikes that were tied too tight ripped his feet apart.
Judging by the way you write, you might not be far behind him. Irorny is beautiful.

correlation =/= causation. I don't think Alberto or anybody at NOP is responsible for Cam's struggles. He actually did quite well there for a few years before it all came apart. Sustaining elite level performance over several years is very, very difficult for all but a few athletes. There are a lot of things that can go wrong.
Having the brain and of a spud helps, going by your rundown of names above.

Training in a rigid program with grey-area dopers on thyroid supps, testosterone boosting, Aicar and peptide TB-500, when you don't use those things, is very, very hard.

Is he still asthmatic? He started using a puffer after joining NZoP and since then it came out that captain al instructed athletes to cheat the test by running up and down the stairs.
I could run up and down stairs all day (or as long as my fitness would allow me) and I would not display asthmatic symptoms.
I understand the suspicions of NOP but some of these tales are just silly.
