The reason we are talking about what these athletes look like is because we are trying to identify male secondary sexual characteristics. We are doing this because the powers that control athletics don't let us know whether athletes are female or male and instead sacrifice half the population (potentially) being at a disadvantage to benefit a very small proportion of genetically disadvantaged males.
In case (unlike most other human beings) you are unaware of the human biology that results in secondary sexual characteristics in males, here is a simple list of what to look out for. Its nothing to do with the face, its anatomical, its the skeletal differences influenced by large amounts of testosterone. If you can't identify them reliably, maybe its your perception at fault and not the men you think look like women? its the jawline, the forehead, the Adam's Apple, the shoulder width, the pelvic width, the ability to have the build of a more muscular athlete but do well in a speed endurance event. Niyonsaba looks like a typically boyish male.
- muscular and skeletal development resulting in wide shoulders and narrow hips (in women the pelvis is wider for childbearing, not helpful for running fast)
- a generally larger and more muscular body
- The larynx (voice box) grows and enlarges in response to testosterone, resulting in a deep voice
- Male foreheads are usually wider and higher than female foreheads. Males have a bony ridge running across the forehead and above the eyes. Females have a smooth forehead. Male foreheads are usually backwards sloping, whereas female foreheads are more vertical
- men have lower and straighter eyebrows than women
- male eyes are more deepset than female eyes (due to the more prominent brow ridge)
- Men tend to have wider and longer noses than women
- Males usually have flatter cheekbones, whereas females possess more prominent cheekbones
- Distance between the nose’s base and top lip is usually longer in males
- Males have heavier, wider jaws than females. Males usually have longer chins and more square, sharply angled jaws than women. Male chins usually have a flat base, whereas female chins are more pointed
- Adam's Apple far more prominent in most males
So you are saying that African women who look like men should be allowed to run because African women look more like men than white women? I'm not really comfortable with where that's leading...
