Has Muir confirmed she'll be running the 5K as well?

Obiri seems to think she is:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iiJT3XUNEW0Agree! Muir has excellent sustained pace at any distance from 800 to 3000. She is very untested at 5000. But that means she is very good in fast, paced races. Has she ever won a championship race against the very best? (You cannot really count the European indoors as being against the very best.) The problem she will have at the Worlds is that if she wants a sustained pace she will have to make it - as she did from the half way mark yesterday - and this leaves her vulnerable in the last 100-200 if someone can stay with her. The distance Obiri took out of her in the last 100 must be worrying to her.

Yeah, you could be right. There have been so many Brits testing positive and appearing on doper lists recently.....oh wait...sorry my bad, that's Kenya.
But there was that official letter warning the British authorities that their athletes are impossible to test and keep hiding whenever testers come close.......damn it, I'm having a bad day here, that was Kenya again.
The funny thing about all this is that the members of the Kenyan Police force are the hardest to find.😂😂😂

Who is more likely to be dirty, Froome, Wiggins, or Obiri.
Which Wiggins? Bad or Brad?

She's setting herself up for a thrashing. G.Dibaba and Ayana tried to double up and had their legs run out in the 5000m. At least she can spin it as running for two golds unlike the losers running for just one.
Just curious if the OP ever came back and ate crow. My guess is, "no".

He never did. I wish they hadn't deleted the original thread where he was insulting people for disagreeing with him. Would love a good laugh.

Got it. I'm all for supporting your team, but at least have the sack to admit when you're wrong. (not directed at you)

Well said!
I wonder if she'd do better waiting until the 2nd or 3d lap to take off. If I remember correctly, she did that in either London or Paris last year and was able to gap the field enough that they couldn't reel her back at the end.
It could be that now that everyone knows her strategy, they won't let her get a gap. Or maybe it's just that they can hang with her this year, when they couldn't last year.

It didn't work so well for Rowbury or Murphy, either.
Does anyone know if it's too late for Muir to drop out of the 5000?
Yes we will wrote:

Just run a hard even pace from the start..... WOWWWW what a novel idea!
How about the organisers dropping the ball, big time? This was supposed to be a set up procession for Muir like Farah's 3000m, yet they invite Hellen Obiri? What were they thinking?

Talking about doping in general. Any illegal substance/methods.
Not even close.
