Do you butt jams not realize that he probably has a contract with the Track town series AND the money he is guaranteed plus prize money? He got the standard-end of story. Centro is lucky Andrews didn't make the Rio final.

The bottom line is, Robby's strategy of showing up for indoor and outdoor nationals and running in second-tier races most of the rest of the time has worked. He's made one Olympic and two World outdoor teams already.
What it hasn't done is give him the chance to get the low PRs he's capable of, except in the indoor mile. It also leaves him with work to do to get qualifying standards, but he's been able to do that.
To me the problem is, tactical races against second-tier competition are basically just training runs for him, even if he gets the honor of winning them. The Tracktown summer series would have been a good change of pace if he had gone into them with the qualifying standard already in hand.
