Ryan Booth. He also rabbited the 3000 very well. He ran smooth and consistent in both races.

I think Cooper Teare is officially the fastest ever high schooler to NOT break 4 minutes in the mile.
Final Cooper thread of the year?
Fastest 3-miler in the country for XC in 2017(13:58), and also won CIF 1600 and 2nd in CIF 3200. Going to NAU.
That would be Don Sage. 4:00.29.

Teare ran 4:00.16

He was the star of the meet. I was impressed with the 3k, then surprised to see him return for the boy's mile, where he put in quite a bit of work.
It's in Mission Viejo, California. The field is absolutely insane. Gabe fendel, Austin Tamagno, Cooper, Jeff Thies, Isaac Cortes, and Aidan Tooker to name a few

So the 2017 super crop is not done yet. There may yet be 2 sub 4 milers this year after all.
Their goal is actually sub 6. The Dew Mile is drinking a can of Mtn Dew and running a lap for the full Mile. Basicallly a Beer Mile with Dew.
Seems a little childish to me, a bunch of elite athletes throwing away their stomachs. Why don't they put their fitness to good use

That might be the lamest thing I've ever heard.

lol someone didn't do their research, teare has like 3 sub 4:02s as well and 4-5 sub 4:03s, definitely the best highschool miler to NOT break 4.
Also ran like 14:10 in the 5k and 8:40 3200 this year.
Cmon Evert and Ben I know you guys like it

You must have no sense of fun because to most high school runners it is consistently the race of the year

Chugging 4 cans of Mountain Dew has got to be worse for you than chugging 4 cans of beer.
If that's true, it's an insult to the runners.
Just get fat old men to do something like that.

No one ever said highschoolers were smart

some people won't get the irony of this post and just think it is alloying.
Tinman would!
