Yeah, but did Mo look relaxed?? How was his leg speed velocity in the heat?

God I cannot wait until some pushes the pace the entire race and takes the kick out of farah. What an uninspiring run.
Bolt's shirt looks like it says "Easter" at first glance.
Mo didn't look like he worked that hard on the last lap. He eased past on the back stretch and wasn't pushing 100%

Relax dude...it was 82 degrees outside
He needs to man up! Don't you know? Bekele set world records every time he set foot on the track, and he raced often never hiding like Farah does. And Farah says how much better he is than Bekele on a daily basis and...
Oh wait. None of that is true.
Props to Farah for racing.
was it really 82 degrees?
wasn't it about 82-85 degrees when Rupp ran 29:0x this past weekend?
i'd say that was impressive to play with 26:30ish pace for a while
no world records or big PB's will be run when it's that warm, you idiots

Hey, 27:12 is flying. Great run if he does those 5k's in the reverse order. But there isn't anything good to say about that last 5k. Sure he won, but it was over a bunch of scrub. Its just sad to watch someone look like they are willing to challenge 26:30 for the first 4k and then just mail it in for the win. I mean a 67... come on.
He's going to be fine at WC but he wants that fast time next to his name and he isn't going to get it unless he's ready to do some work, hot or not.
Has nothing to do with heart.
He is just not fast enough.

He is no longer capable of running faster than his PBs at 5000 and 10000.
Remind me, how many medals for "all-time greats" Prefontaine and Komen?

This is why Farah will never be one of the all-time greats. He lacks the Komen/Prefontaine heart to just power round the track and push himself.
It is pretty silly to mention Prefontaine in the same sentence.
Komen was faster than Farah, but had a much, much shorter peak.

You're inventing a standard for greatness that is not true. Komen was on fire for 18 months, then nothing. Power around and push himself? He ran fast, but don't pretend that he had some sport-defining career that he didn't.
And what is Farah missing that Prefonatine had? What is the only evidence of his "failure to push?" He wins everything. Say he isn't fast enough to be an all time great, but don't pretend he doesn't have the sporting traits of a great.
komen was drugged to his fcking eyeballs

The part about Bekele racing often is most definitely true.
Bekele total sub 13 and sub 27: 29
Farah total sub 13 and sub 27: 7
Other than his 2 mile, I don't recall Farah ever pushing to go for a record time. I remember Bekele trying it several times.
If you say so, but it doesn't change anything I wrote.

Bolt wins with rough start, but finishes well over last 30m or so. 10.07.

This is why Farah will be a forgotten runner the day after he retires and Bekele will be the king of distance running until someone can beat his stats. I mean these are the kinds of stats that should embarrass Farah. He should give his wife to Bekele.
Why did they just sing the Jamaican national anthem in badly accented english? This isn't the Olympics, I don't get the singing of the anthem.
the last 3 pages of posts on this thread are enough proof for me that no one knows what the h*ll they are talking about when it comes to elite racing.
it's pretty remarkable
keep discussing why farah isn't good (gold medals aside of course) and who is the GOAT distance runner between farah, geb, bekele, etc though, your opinions matter a TON
