So, will Froome get number 4? I'm thinking his ex teammate Porte may have a shot to take him down.

and may the best doper win!
On bust before the tour even starts. André Cardoso from Trek busted for EPO.
i actually think the skinniest guy wins. in tyler hamilton's book, he said he'd trade EPO for a 10 pound weight loss. the weight loss was more valuable.
If Nairo Quintana can get it together in the time trial, maybe.

Fortunately Hamilton didn't have to make that choice.
who are those guys? im just a hobby jogger, jogging with armband phone and basquetball shorts, this is like chinesse for me.
1. Porte
2. Froome
3. Valverde
4. Bardet
Those 4 will be close and then there will be a big gap to the rest. Talansky will beat Quintana and Contador (if they even finish at all).
Sagan will get another green, but MM will make him work for it. He will also finally get the sprint win in Paris.
Kittel will get the lion's share of the sprint stages. Can and greipel will combine for one total stage win. 2 sprint stages will be won by a frenchman.
I don't have a ton of confidence in Talansky. If Quintana and contador finish, i'm going to bet it's ahead of talansky. It'd be nice to see him up there but i gotta wonder if his best days are behind him.
Yes on sagan for another green. he will win any sprint stage that has any lumps or sharp turns on the run-in. MM is questionable and it's good to see him on the start line since just a few weeks ago that was in doubt.

Fixed that for you.
I have a feeling Porte will have a melt-down again. Too bad Tom "poop-man" Dumoulin rode El Giro, he could have win the Tour and knock out Chris "king of TUE" Froome. Nairo? He comes with the Giro effect on his legs and Valverde will be riding for Nairo. Contador is finished. It's going to be a boring Tour for sure.
Speaking of Cycling, some of these idiots don't get it. Contador's teammate, Andre Cardoso was popped on EPO.

My dark horse pick for TDF: Rafał Majka

Ok then Tyler, have to remember that nougat when I see reruns of Lance who was built as a time trial guy at best smashing it up mountains against true mountain goats.

I don't think it will be boring as 1 of 6 could do it. No guarantees around Froome this year.
This year is a total crap shoot. Less time trialing than any other edition of the Tour. Very few climbs, very few mountaintop finishes. The time gaps are going to be small and small mistakes costly.

Froome will win and Valverde won't be top 5.
Not putting money on Quintana after he road the Giro hard. Combine that with a start and finish of the tour in ITT. Porte can time trial out of all the GC guys. I got my money on him.

Yeah...right...give it a break Mac. That wonderful Kenyan runner named "Sumgong" recently tested positive for rocket fuel. And there were three medal winners just busted from Beijing on retested samples. So, I guess some of those "idiots" in athletics don't get it either.😉
Valverde has long been a favorite of mine (I even have a Spanish Champions Caisse d'Epargne jersey from 2007), but the fact is he has been around so long and has never delivered at the tour, that it is silly to think in his mid 30s he will finally manage it.
If you study the Tour, you will see that multiple winners are the norm, not the exception. There are so many intangibles that make a Tour winner, much more than just drugs and horsepower. Chances are Froome will win again, which is too bad because I'd like to see someone else take over. A true darkhorse win is so unlikely. The last time that happened was probably Armstrong him self in 1999 and then maybe Riis before that in 95 or 96.
Sastre has no other Grand Tour GC titles besides his TdF win. If you're saying that a Quintana win would be a darkorse then you'd have to also say that Carlos' was.
But I agree that Froome will win, so it's all just semantics.
