Disclaimer; I am an old, overweight, hobby jogger who is getting back into running after 10 months off from really bad Plantar Fasciitis.
It could work in nicely with my current experiment (modified Gershler training plan).
I am a long way off 63s/400m but I am in no rush (2.25 years until I'm 50, 12.25 years until I'm 60, 22.25years until I'm 70, 32.25 years until I'm 80 - Ed Whitlock here I come!).
I did a Gerschler sessions today - 600's with recovery heart rate down to 120bpm in 90 secs or less. Was supposed to do them at (predicted) 3km/2mi pace (2:12, 3:40/km, 5:52/mi) but felt good and ended up doing them at (predicted) 1500m/mile/2km pace (2:03-2:09, 3:25-3:37/km, 5:30-5:50/mi). Did 14x 600m. Could have done more but left calf started to tighten up and didn't want to risk making it worse.
Can provide Strava/Polar links for proof.
