Letsrun posters are the most retarded and most bias and hateful people smh
Shouts to Brazier for running on the pure hate for the morons here, probably pumped himself by reading everyone saying he was done after the adidas boost race

Agreed.
So stoked for this young team!
Harris really showed that 1:14 600 speed! Wouldn't be surprised to see him under 1:44 in not 90 degree conditions. Plus Drew Windle had a massive Nick Symmonds type of kick, dude came out of nowhere from last to 3rd in the last 100! These guys all have so much potential. This is a MUCH better team than two years ago.

He implied as much in his post-race interview, and this isn't the first time he's said something like that, either. Frankly, I don't think it's a good habit for him. He seems like a really impressionable young guy and I don't see any upside to him coming on this website to read what Joe hobbyjogger has to say about him-positive or negative.

Is Letsrun 2/2.
Andrews read the one trick pony thread and finally understood that:
1 - staying on the rail as much as possible is important at the top competitive level
2 - being well positioned with 450m to go is important if you are trying to win important races.
Brazier got pumped by Letsrun
Congratulations to all Letsrun posters.
Brazier is the GOAT at the 800. Don't @ me

He missed the Olympics. This doesn't offset that.

He had just won an NCAA title and set an NCAA record at 19. Now he is US champion at 20 yet you somehow want to detract from him or take away from that accomplishment? What an absolutely pathetic life you must live.
Some people proudly hold others to standards that they would never come close to touching in their own line of work. I hope to see a Murphy vs Brazier race when both are in peak condition. Both of these kids deserve major props.

Shut up you moron. US champion far outweighs just making the Olympics.

He really showed this past weekend he doesn't have the slightest idea of what he is doing. " I knew I was going to make it through the to the finals on time"
How would he know this from the 1st heat? He wouldn't. He should have run to secure a place by being in the top three, with his talent it should not be an issue. Poor coaching.
2nd round, same thing he got lucky.
Im not sure he or his coach understand the pro ranks yet.

He wouldn't know for sure but he would know given the time he ran and the number of heats remaining the odds of him not making it on time were minuscule. How was he lucky in the second round? Have you ever watched 800m heats before? THEY ARE ALWAYS A SH*TSHOW AND THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS IS ADVANCING.
Dude just won a national title and competed very well internationally earlier this spring, he understands the pro ranks just fine and will continue to learn and improve (which should be a very scary thought given he is only 20).

Not sure on that one - less opportunity to make the Olympics when it's only every 4 years....

Only one US champion in a given year. Multiple people admitted to the olympic team for a single event. And it is no harder to make that team than the world's despite what people say.
1:46.00 was the Olympic qualifying time. 1:45.9 for world's so it's just the same. The final this year had more quality also.
Brazier is going to end up doing a London 2012 Amos and every last hater here will be forced to change their handle.

Check the scoreboard - he knew what he was doing alright. Working his way to a US title! You, on the other hand, don't know the sport or how to troll convincingly.

I've been fighting on Brazier's side here, but i have to agree with the other poster. There is no way Brazier knew he was guaranteed through as a fastest loser from heat 1.
He hoped and was fortunate it came through and if he does the same thing at world's he won't make it through the first round.

You do remember exhibit A: Olympian Charles Jock, right? It's easier to get third once every four years than to win in any given year.

Like Murphy last year, right?
Obviously he couldn't have been absolutely sure that it would get through. 800m heats aren't like 5000m heats and at the end of the day what Brazier did worked great just as what Clayton did in Rio worked great.
Maybe he will get knocked out in the prelims in London, but he's still a talent with a couple big titles now, so it is disingenuous to trash his tactics too much.
