no not up close, but when watching from the stands or live feed on internet you can't tell them apart or white guys apart either if they are all dressed the same.....unless someone has a distinctive characteristic like a beard for example.
This whole marketing scheme makes me less likely to buy a Nike product, so it didn't work.
I know the answer to the original question.
Nike should have their athletes wear shorts over their tights.
We don't want anyone to be shamed.....we all know that could lead to the use of PEDs - but not for better performance on the track but to grow their sausages to bulk up bulge in the tights.

I think all this shows is that the primary goal of a lot of track and field sponsorship is brand recognition/exposure. It's not about the individual athletes. As long as Nike gets a ton of athletes in high profile races, I don't think they care if people know who the individuals are. Outside of Bolt, there are almost no track athletes with world-wide name recognition.
To be fair, Nike has its own favourites. When they want you to stand out, they'll make sure you do:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VXuQeUHWDAJust watched it. What in the world are they wearing? Looks like something grandma stitched by hand.
Just bibs. Each lane has a different color.
Its a handicap race, a lot of great runners have competed, including Olympic Champs. Bob Hayes for example.

And did they mention the winning prize is like 40 thousand dollars? That's a lot of cash to make over a sprint on grass.

Since when did vivalarepublica become the focus group we care about.

Nike is labeling everything. They're sponsors, but this picture frames it in a way that makes it look like it's a race made by Nike.
Is this a Nike race? Or is it a race sponsored by Nike? Get your logos outta here!
Everything is made by us. Because of us there's athletes who get paid to do what they love. Don't respond with "not enough" either. It's called ROI, look into it.
Everything is a Nike race and our logos aren't going anywhere. We are Track and Field and without us, this sport you love, would be obsolete.
You're welcome.

We make premier uniforms, put the world's greatest athletes in them, and then hope someone likes you makes a post on LetsRun that will become "SUPER HOT ON LETSRUN" on the landing page during a very active week in Track and Field - such as the USATF Championships.
Now everyone coming to look at results, recaps, etc. will see Nike front and center, and for that - we win again. Thank you.
Post and poster of the year candidate.
Thank you for the nomination. We're accustom to winning.
This post has the wrong title. It should say “Dear ANY other company BUT Nike, what’s wrong with this picture?â€I don’t understand the hate on Nike when, obviously, is the company sponsoring most of the athletes, aka. supporting track and field. Adidas, Under Armour, Assics, etc. should be ashamed about this FACT.

It would be nice if there were some identifiers on the singlets like their names, what club they run for, or where they are from, besides just looking like a bunch of cloned "Nike" guys. This look gives a feeling of anonymity to the individual competitors. Almost a submission of their individualism or at least team spirit to a larger impersonal entity. I'm all for them wearing Nike garments if that's who pays the bills, but why not give them some individualism, if not in colors and styles, at least with some personal identification? Don't these athletes deserve individual recognition? And if there are multiple teams representing Nike, then let it be visible. I'd be surprised if they all wanted to dress identical to each other and appear anonymous to the typical viewer. They come off looking like a bunch of worker-bees just contributing to the Nike cause.
