This dude is a joke. Loves to kick from 900 meters to 1300 meters. Think he needs to learn how long to the race is. What a lame-o.

I think Engels ran stupid, went to early, had he waited to be all out he makes the team. Big balls go home. Run smart.
He went for the win.
He thought he had enough and he dropped it on them. He found it wasn't enough, but he won't die not knowing.
You guys seem to care more about safety than First. I can tell you that in 30 years no one will give a shit where he finished except him. He tried to win. Good for him.
One day he won't fade. One day he might find enough. You guys will never even look. You'll just sit here posting on letsrun and bemoan your lack of opportunity. A bunch of Uncle Ricos.
Can't believe you idiots think that poor tactics make one brace or a hero.
Gregorek is a hero.

No, he's just another dirty hipster pretending to be an adult. Seems like a very unhappy guy. Huge kudos to your uncle Rico reference, however. Really gave me a good chuckle.
You have to have another gear the last 50!!!
Things always change in the last 50m

Blankenship has all the speed he needs in this type race to make this team, and yet in his own head he decided it was smart to run all out from 600M. Yeah, that worked great! He walked in. Why not just go when the race goes and race smart. You can't tell me he can't out kick Johnny G.
Where's the glory in out-kicking Johnny G? Lot's of people could do that. But only Ben Blankenship had the guts to take off soon enough to f*ck Centro's sh*t up.
I sure hope BB's got a guts incentive in his contract. If he doesn't, maybe the "run like a man" gang at LRC could start a gofundme to make up for the bonu$ he's going to lose for not making the team.
What do you have to say he could outkick Johnny G?
You probably think of some results from last year - I see a trend. Johnny G has been one of the most steadily improving guys in the US since he was at Columbia. Don't just check the results, watch him run.
He came from way way back this year, and he had a very strong finish last year. The difference is that he's stronger now - he's a developing athlete. Blankenship is developed. Done. Ship sunk.
Also, what does SunkenShip run for 800? I honestly don't know. I do know that Johnny ran 1:47 low to beat SwathMerb and Robert Andrews. He also finished with a 52.36 today. Only person with a faster last 400 was Andrews in 52.23.
SunkenShip is just another one of Rowland's burn outs. Add him to the list with Ciaran O'Leotard, Fat Casey, MacDonalds Fleet, J-V Mac, and Andy Wheat thins.
I didn't realize there was so much teenage angst against Blankenship.
I guess I should praise the 11 other guys in the field who wanted to run Centro's race (run to the front, slow down, and out kick people the last 200)?
Hell no! I give props to Blankenship for doing what he thought he needed to do. Obviously it didn't work out for him, but what he did do was PROVE that Centro can be beaten, and that Centro more than got lucky in London.
Well done. You forgot Mo "I hugged" Aman, Harun that's Abda it, Elijah wrong gear Greer, Tom feral Farrel, and Charles couldn't carry my Jock.

Thanks for the quick tour of Johnny G's year. It was helpful; he'd gotten lost in the crowd for the last few years. I hope you are right that he's destined for better things.
But seriously: R-E-L-A-X. As I explained above, my post was sarcastic. I was mocking BB's fans on LRC, not Junior. He was just collateral damage, based on what the guy before me said.
No teenager here. Been around long enough to say praise misplaced on poor tactics.

Sounds like you are losing it. You've forgotten about Pre. He was all about guts. He knew tactics are for losers; so are results. Pre would be the first to congratulate Blankenship.
Seriously now, I couldn't agree more.
Was mainly replying to the dude you were trolling. Included you for continuity.
Agreed, no glory to be had in outkicking Johnny G. More glory in outkicking Sunkenship - disgraced former Olympian who forgot how to run in Rio. Sad!
Nice to see Ben take the lead...Engles poised to win...proven a bad decision...but the future is brighter for him than ANYONE in this field...he can survive heats and has speed that will improve
6/10
I'd go as high as 8.

As in the Emsley Carr Mile in 2015. As expected, BB took off with ~200 to go. He was leading at the top of the straightaway. Unfortunately for him, there were a ton of guys who had an extra gear. At one point, he looks like he's going backwards.

There isn't, we just think your post is f***ing stupid

He's a 3:34 guy at best- no more. That's a spectacular pr, but gets you jack squat on an international level.
Ben's interview after the race he says you can't win from the front. Ever here of Filbert Bayi?
Geezus you're an azzhole.
