1) WTH are you talking about? The opposite- very smart.
2) Anybody notice the NBC graphic telling us that Helen Obiri is the American record holder at 5000m?
It's races like this one and special performances like Chelimo that make me love this sport! Absolutely epic race by Chelimo. I still can't believe it. Total domination.

Not confirmed. Maybe once he breaks 12:55.

Mottram never won an Olympic medal, which deflates his ball size somewhat

I noticed that as well and was thoroughly confused. Time for bed!

Well he was third at the world championships. A lot of people would say that is pretty solid.

It will be nice to have the NCAA's back in Sacramento next year!
Why did Paul keep touching his face during the race? Was he wiping sweat from his eyes?
Pre was definitely the American distance runner with the most balls

Chelimo about 737 at halfway.
That's not even sub 15 pace.
theory: the runners are all running with bizarre strategies at this meet right? what if the USATF is a communist organization. All of the runners are angry that their talents are being exploited for the consumerism of the US track and field viewing audience. They are running weird to confuse us capitalists in the name of mother Russia. LONG LIVE JOSEPH GALEN!
Good try, Galen, but placing 5th won't make me communist.
Am I the only one a little upset that nobody at least tried to stay in contact with chelimo? Didn't True want it to be honest?
Guarantee if one guy goes with Chelimo, everybody else who can would follow. Everyone was content with racing for two spots but nobody would've wanted to race for one.
So much unfounded love for True. Guy is not a good championship racer or maybe....maybe....just not a good enough for the highest level international racing scene. Get over it fanboys

Well you may be right about his consistency at championship races, but he isn't really a slouch. Look who he has to race, those are tough fields these days. Not to mention I believe he was 6th in a world championship 5k once and 6th in XC. That's a pretty solid resume in my opinion.
No secret I'm a Sowinski fan but he does look really good.
The Let's Run Rojo Jinx strikes again.
Lol, I noticed this too. But you're the guy who thinks Wittgenstein knew more than Goedel so I will trust Rojo on this one
Huddle with another great performance even though being out-sit/kicked from being too tired after her fantastic 10k performance in the heat less than 24 hours earlier - she always tries to make a point not to be "drafting" anyone in her races and that's an expensive price to pay.
But is she really going to run both the 5000 and 10000 at worlds? What's the schedule there?
