predictable rubbish
you do realise that european men had given up in x-country by ngugi's day
even in those freezing conditions, the best euro runner was probably 30s slower than ngugi in ideal conditions over 10k, more over 12k of x-country so even in freezing weather ngugi had enough gap over the best euro to win that race, albeit moneghetti was 1st non-african & he woudn't have liked freezing weather either

i woud be a bit cautious about his prospects
note that oslo for past few years has been a cold miserable place to run in, definitely non-african weather whilst for a scot it probably felt like running in the bahamas !!!
Absolute definitive proof that calculo's 'scientific' analysis of runs is utter emotional bullshit.
Kid closes a 3:34 in 55 (maybe sub 55), outkicking an in shape manangoi and we get told his prospects aren't good from this performance.
If this was any African we'd get told it was worth 3:30 or he is going to be the next WR holder etc.

Competed against him for years when we were kids. He went from very average to about top in the country in one season at 18. Was a crazy leap. He went to school and trained with Steve Cram's son as well
Sounds suspicious. Suspiciously like he's serious about winning.
Hats off to him and Muir and the other Super Scots!

Hutchings was one of the best European xc runners having finished 4th in Olympics and competed against Ngugi in cold weather without success. You are talking crap as usual.
Now google weather in Nairobi. In addition to never setting foot on an athletic track you've also never been there.
He made a similar move last summer at Euro Outdoor Champs.
