I'm looking forward to that. Hey France! Kemboi is coming for you.

another vote for Coe v Ovett, and I am not a brit. I am, though, of that certain age. I remember Coe recounting how he did 3 workouts on x-mas day (or new years eve, one or the other) because we was worried that Ovett might be outworking him.
Kerrigan v Harding (non T&F) was pretty intense too...
I remember those two taking turns holding records. Very good time for TF. I wonder when the balls on athletes got removed.
Ben and carl
Bannister vs Landy. I don't think it is close. The world was coming out of its out of its climb from the depths of WWII where survival was foremost and misery too often prevailing, modern communications and broadcasting were becoming ubiquitous for the first time in history and these two had levels of performance which beckoned the modern era. From a purely historical perspective and in capturing the public's imagination, I don't think anyone rivals this duo.
Coe and Ovett. Probably one of the best rivalries in any sport of all time.
What were the odds of Britain producing their two greatest ever runners at almost the very same time, at the very same distances? They even won races in similar fashion, with devastating kicks.
The fact that they hardly ever raced each other made it all the more special. Has there ever been a period in track and field history where two runners trade world records back and forth on an almost weekly basis, yet don't race each other (as happened in 81)? And when they did race each other (in Moscow) they traded Golds in each other's favoured event.
When is the film about their rivalry finally going to be released? It hasn't been scrapped again has it? It was originally going to be out of the 2012 Olympics, then it was delayed but Daniel Radcliffe was cast to play Coe in 2013. Then no word again.
The best rivalry is this:
Sprint: Ben Johnson vs Carl Lewis
Distance: Coe vs Ovett
Nations: Ethiopia vs Kenya
Commercial: Adidas vs Nike
Salazar VS Usada

good leo vs bad leo?
Fernando Mamedo vs. his mind
Justin Gatlin vs. USADA
How has no one said Craig motram vs Kenya
I said those two a page earlier. They both knew the importance of being the first sub 4.
Jeremy Wariner vs. Lashawn Merritt
Probably not the best all time, but one of the best in the U.S.. Only problem is that their peaks didn't really overlap as much and Jeremy got overwhelmed with injuries.
Salazar vs Schumacher
Ventolin v Deano
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
