Josh Thompson, Oklahoma State miler, just ran 8:32 in the steeple, a couple seconds behind Dan Huling. I'm assuming this is his debut? Seems noteworthy.
A little confused as it's a Sunday...I doubt there's another OSU Josh Thompson.

Ran 8:50 at Big 12 Championships
I could see him going to bowerman tc. I reckon they could get him into the 8.1x's. Just look what they did for Andy Bayer.
Yeah but also I've seen on the flotrack series "going pro" that he's been talking to Brooke Beasts .. Although if the steeple is a future event for him he's better of with BTC

Brooks Beasts would sure be disappointing; but it's obviously his choice. Seems like a smart kid, and he'll do what's best for him.

Really fantastic. Hope he gets a good pro contract - it couldn't happen to a nicer, harder-working guy. Someone who you'd be proud to represent the USA in the future.
Not bad to head down to Portland after the NCAA 1500m final and run an 8:32 steeple.
Because German Fernandez and Andy Bayer ran so well with the Bowerman Athletic Club? Both got slower. Both were huge talents, 3:34 in college and NCAA champions. He would improve with the Beasts. They might not get the best NCAA (as in athletes that make US teams while in the NCAA like Hill, Ferichs, Quigley etc) athlete's so it is hard to notice, but almost every athlete seems to improve in that group. If they continue to get strong athletes like Yorks, Kidder, Walker then people will notice them more. Plus, all 3 of those guys are running well this year and setting PR's. Would be a wise decision IMO.

andy bayer didn't get any better at 1500 because he changed events... He finished 4th in the Olympic steeple as a very inexperienced runner in the event, that is pretty damn good.
Bayer ran a lot of miles and 1500 with the BAC his 3-4 years there.Bayer also just PR'd in the steeple his first year back at Indiana, not with the BAC.He finished 4th in the 1500 Olympic Trials 1500 as an NCAA Junior. So I would say he failed at the BAC (or he would have stayed because Nike kept him). Every PR is from college and/or after leaving the BAC.
