Clutch!!!
A "clutch" team as good as Oregon doesn't need the last event to win. They should have dominated

That Georgia Coach is doing the right thing if its and honest effort issue. His athletes deserve a double check.

Deajah Stevens DNF'd in the 200m, this makes her inelgibible for the 4x4. If Oregon gets away with this that is total BS
Looks like they got away with it
Shame on the NCAA.

Sorry, but that 4 x 4 performance was the epitome of greatness.
Oregon needs to proceed to the locker room and have a heart to heart discussion about what happened and pledge to never let that happen again.
Georgia is probably a little dissapointed but they had a hell of a meet and can hold their heads high.

How is this possible?

Now she is running. Dwight is the f*ck1ng worst.
Johnny Karate wrote:Stevens to devastated to run the 4x4 apparently. Better off without her at this point.
Wasn't Dwight the one who referred to Isaiah Harris as "Isaiah Thomas" in yesterday's 800m, not once but twice? Maybe it was Rawson who did that, they all sound the same to me.
Good for ESPN for sticking it out. OSLO D.L. has a tough act to follow this Thursday.

LOL, you don't even know who it was that misspoke. Go away, please. Didn't you just watch the last 2 1/2 hours of that incredible Championship?? And you're talking about what???
I'm guessing the rationale for denying the protest was because stevens was officially a DQ from the 200, not a DNF. If that is the case I can understand it.
Seems like a lame protest. She tumbles and falls in the 200 and had she not she would have won or got 2nd making the last race almost mmot. Clearly that was an honest effort and the spirit of that rule had nothing to do with happened today. Glad it was denied.
Not sure how it's a lame protest, if your goal is to win who the hell wouldn't protest?
Did she complete the 200? No. Then she should be subject to seeing official medical and saying "I fell" and seeing official medical again to clear her for the 4x400. Not finishing the 200, injury or not, subjected her to this just like every other team. If this meet isn't at UO their 4x4 is DQed and Georgia wins.
Didn't expect to make final.
That's what everyone should want to see...a team when on a DQ not a collegiate record...um...NO

that is an unfortunate typo.
Perhaps a Freudian slip by my auto correct spell check and failure to proofread.. Most unfortunate.
Thank you for the interviews!

Sorry but you are a moron.
The rule was instituted to keep folks from signing up for a race (keeping others out ) and then bailing so they are fresh for another event. So by your example someone who false starts in the 100 and is DQ can't run any other events because they didn't finish? Does this person need to see a medical official and say um I false started?
Being at Oregon had nothing to do with this. The right decision was made.
On a completely unrelated topic. Did you see the crowds. nice to see that many fans at a track and field meet.
