So is there a list somewhere of "prohibited coaches" in the same manner that there's list of prohibited substances?

I personally feel this move by WADA is to try and squeeze out a rat. Make someone squeal by sending a scary letter.
It's like how media companies serve DMCA notices left right and centre with no intention of doing anything if you just stay quiet.
Yes, it's where USATF gets their relays coaches.

This creepy doctor goes all the way back to Carl Lewis right? Didn't he help some throwers too?
Is the USA olympic team next? Banned from the next games?
Dr. Brown did treat Carl Lewis.

USATF hasn't even made any kind of public statement about the uncontrolled human experiments Salazar is running.
No way. Too much money at stake.

They can ban him as an athlete support personnel.
That means he can't get a credential. It also means any athlete who continues to work with him could be banned for prohibited association.
^Correct
Athletes could not longer use Dr Brown and compete. Dr Brown can continue to treat hobbyjoggers and the general population.

I didn't put forth an argument. I asked a question.
How is "powerful argument" a question?
finally. good news that brown is going down. And I'm sure Salazar is on the way out too. Expect him to resign soon.

Where do people come up with assertions like this? You went from point A to point B and then jumped to point F.
Damage control work is the worst that will happen to nike. That is just part of being big business. So, in other words , nothing happens to Nike.

Kinda funny, 3 people close to me have had thyroid problems. I can see how it would impede you running to your capacity. But that could never be the case here, right? Everyone who runs decent has to be a cheater.
It's totally possible these guys have real thyroid problems and they need treatment. But that means they shouldn't be running at the professional level unless they can do it without treatment.
And let's stop being naive. Young healthy males have an almost 0% chance of having thyroid issues...

I added in "Is Alberto Salazar next?" to the title as it seems hard that one would happen without the other unless Salazar claims Dr. Brown went rogue and did treatment that he thought should be kosher.
$100 says that's exactly what happens.

None of this matters at all. Thyroid medication is not banned in any amount. Maybe it should be, but it isn't.
So no violation and no sanction on this at all.
Nope it is not banned but it is against the law for a Doctor to prescribe medication that is not needed.
This means that ole Doc Brown could,be in trouble, unless.............
He is willing to talk.

Dr. Brown talking to USADA does nothing to change his standing before the Texas Medical Board, positive or negative. Talking to USADA really does nothing more for him than possibly preserving his ability to work with USADA/WADA athletes (if it is all in his favor). That's it.
Dr. Brown may possibly run into some sort of trouble with the Texas Medical Board for a variety of reasons. Among the least plausible reason for him running into trouble with the TMB is that he is prescribing thyroid medication. This is simply off-label usage, which happens every single day for pretty much every single doctor. Dr. Brown can very plausibly contend that he was prescribing thyroid medication for people who were coming to him with sub-clinical hypothyroidism. That is a prescribing practice that has some actual support in the clinical literature.
It is not against the law for him to prescribe that medication. It is perfectly within his privileges as a doctor. As a trained endocrinologist that is well within his professional discretion.

So it looks like Dr. Brown and the dead Doctor who worked at Nike will end up as the fall guys in this scenario. Poor Dr. Brown, he should be more careful when choosing consulting clients!
The "dead Doctor" was a PhD in physiology, not an MD. This distinction has confused LRCers before.

The one leaked document had both Rupp and Centro return abnormal test results. They could have enough data to do a biological passport violation. Specially if Rupp has been taking Testosterone.
If they had enough data to allege a biological passport violation, they would have to make that allegation. Otherwise, they'd be covering up doping. Even for the USADA, that's not a good look.

Of all the runners I know personally, only one is on thyroid replacement hormone but about half of the the NOP is on it. That can't be legit.
