As a distance runner I am familiar about peaking somewhat. Less mileage with more rest. But I am confused since I have read different viewpoints on intervals run during peak period. I have heard to run fast with short rest and fast with long rest. For example, I am a 5 min. miler. Should I run 400s at 75 with 60 sec. rest, or run them at 68-70 with full recovery to build a pick?
Please help!
