The most famous runner in history except maybe Bolt grew up here, and there is little to no evidence that he was here. Simply shameful. Also just a decrepit, poor seaside town with no real industry.

Supply and demand - you pay a premium for living among brilliant, attractive, ambitious people and have easy access to world-class culture and unlimited career opportunities.

NYC. One of the few places on earth where you can go anywhere and find people from there bragging about how great their city is, but wouldn't dare move back. Not knocking on the city, but some people from there are a little huprocratical.

The poster is referring to the physicians in NYC. Although they promise to do no harm they are in fact striving to injure people whenever possible.

Cairo is located at the confluence of the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers. It is tucked way at the southern teriminus of IL.

It's basically a pseudo ghost-town slum that has lost 90% of it's peak population. It's really spooky because their are still people living there and roads are paved and there's some historic buildings that are still around but most of it is just bombed out. The downtown has well-maintained red brick streets and old gas street lamps, but there's nothing else.

It's also surrounded by a huge concrete levee on three sides which gives it a prison-like feel. The few buildings that are standing are often very well-built and historic but they have trees growing inside of them because they've been so neglected for so long.

Cairo (pronounced K ROW for those not familiar) is a dump and should have been allowed to flood a few years ago when they blew the levee to save it.
